I can’t even right now!!!! Like wow!!! I am so thrilled with how this new chapter of Knight’s Ridge is going!!! Better than I expected and I was already expecting great things!!
I needed Theo’s story. I loved the hatred and obvious longing Emmie and Theo threw at each other since book one of Seb and Stella’s trilogy and with each of their books I was like oh my gawd just give me their story now please! But the wait has been so worth it.
I don’t think I can avoid possible spoilers but I’ll try lol!!!
We all knew that both Emmie and Theo were fighting their attraction for a long time. But I honestly had no clue how long Theo was actually denying himself from going after her or anyone else for the matter. And I was thrilled to find out that it’s been more like months since he’s been with anyone else!! I love that in my hero and heroine. I don’t care if both are hooking up casually with ow/om, but it needs to be equal ground. But in their case, both have been without for quite some time 😆
Emmie is already proving to be my favorite type of heroine. She’s strong, independent and does things her own way. Don’t think you can get a say in otherwise. But she’s still young and impulsive, so you know, still gonna do stupid stuff lol! But she’s so vulnerable and lonely. Like truly lonely and trying to figure out who she is and where to belong. He dads in a good place with his new wifey. Her mom is nowhere to be heard of. She’s been pulling away from her friends and she’s been hiding from her dad that she’s been hanging out with her biker gramps and uncle who he’s forbidden her from communicating with. She’s also been longing after a cruel and cold hearted powerful bad boy that’s been haunting her dreams.
Theo is truly more complicated than I gave him credit for! He too is trying to figure out what he wants out of his life. It’s just been a given that he’s gonna follow in his father’s footsteps. It’s what he was born to do. But he’s conflicted. He wants more. Something different. And to his discomfort, Emmie is becoming the one constant in his life that he keeps feeding. His obsession. His possessiveness. His devotion?? Homeboy was throwing major Edward Cullens vibes lol!!! And I was here for it! There were a lot of twilight vibes going here. Emmie even calls him a vampire. He is dark. Brooding. Restraint personified. I imagine him as Heathcliff. Cruel and domineering but passionate and remorseful. Theo is yummy to say the least.
But he is hiding a huge secret. From his closest friends and from Emmie. And it’s eating away at him.
There were so many hints and foreshadowing as to what it could possibly be and my mouth hit the ground when it’s confirmed. I was like a crazy person trying not to scream 🙀. It’s so good!!! And it’s quite possible it has some legal truth to it. Both are minors and with legal guardianship consenting a contract like theirs is possible??? But My question is like how? I wanna know who consented on behalf of Emmie? And more importantly WHY!!??
This was hot y’all!! A really good tantalizing slow burn and push and pull until all good intentions and self restraint snap and then, it’s off to the races!! Can’t wait to see how Theo and Emmie continue with their new relationship status and that harrowing scene stealer of a cliffhanger. My gawd it’s too much!!!
