Sometimes life gives you more than you can handle, and you feel the walls closing in on you. I wasn’t prepared to lose my sister. It wasn’t just her, either. Life was hard, but I found a way to survive. I picked up the pieces, forged ahead, and now I’m in a good place, one I’m proud of, but I have a problem. I’ve caught the eye of a dangerous man and I want nothing to do with him. The only people I know who might be able to help are the Devil’s Saints MC. I’m seeking sanctuary and the last person I expect to see is him.

Reid Whelan left all those years ago and I have no idea when he came back. Everyone calls him Prodigal and that isn’t the only change—he’s not the same boy he was when he was in love with my sister. I hid my crush back then, but now what is between us can’t be denied. We’ve changed, but our past hasn’t.     This is the first book of this author that I have read. I met her last year at Charm City Romanticon and I’m looking forward to seeing her again this year. The story of Prodigal and Wrenley is a beautiful one. They find each other 12 years later after a tragedy when Wrenley needs protection. I’m looking forward to reading the other stories in this MC series.

    Ember Davis’s ‘Devil’s Return’ has all the feels: loss, familial love, sexual attraction, and heart wrenching loneliness. Wrenley has her best friend, her work, and a hole in her heart. Reid has his MC brothers, his family, and his memories of a lost love.
    Reid/Prodigal left New Orleans after the death of his girl in a home invasion. He spent six years on the road alone before returning back to the Devil's Saints MC. He still is buried in his grief and lets no one in.
    Wrenley, is the sister of the woman he loved and she finds herself being stalked by a rival MC. She goes to the one place that she knew could keep her safe.
    Reid didn’t expect to feel so much when Wrenley walked in but he knew he could stop at nothing to protect her and keep her safe!
