    I reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow, is about all I can say. Angela sucked me in and left me speechless and I couldn't put this book down if I wanted to. I'm totally digging Mafia stories right now and this one did not disappoint. Arlo (Damon) and Victoria have been through the ringer and one night their lives changed forever, they would never be the same. Loss, anger, hatred and revenge has been boiling over in Arlo (Damon) since he was young and now older and knows what he wants he's going after it and nothing and no one will stand in his way not even Victoria. Victoria, being led to believe certain things since she was a child has molded her life. She's seen as the mafia princess to the mob boss, but really she's kind, loving and caring and could care less about the pomp and circumstance, but there's one person who believes she's just like her father and with those thoughts running through his head, it eggs him on and drives the hate he feels for her and her family. Arlo (Damon) has set a plan in motion, but will he be wrong about Victoria? Will spending time with her, warm his dark cold heart? No spoilers here ladies, such a phenomenal read and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for Victorious the next book in this series.

    Let me start by saying I'm getting fed up with "to be continued" endings where a book suddenly stops and you have to purchase another one to find out how the story ends. The book was only 170 pages so could very easily have been combined with the 2nd book to create a stand-alone read.
    Overall I liked the storyline but it had more potential than the author explored. I felt like more of Victoria's feelings related to her childhood could have been explored by 'Damon'... e.g. I kept willing him to ask more questions when he found her precious locket and for him to realize she didn't manage her own social media sites, etc. And, we still don't know what happened to Arlo's sister which will probably be revealed in the 2nd book..... which brings me back to my original comment about this not being a complete book and I feel very resentful having to spend more money to see how it ends. Arghh!!!

    Victoria's the Italian mob boss of NYC's daughter. Her innocence is astounding considering who her father is. Poor Victoria is the pawn in everyone's chess match. Her father uses her to promote his image and to play the doting daughter. Damon uses Victoria to incite revenge on her father.

    Victoria doesn't realize that when her mother died in the car accident, she wasn't the one driving. But who was? Victoria thinks the family next door all died in a horrible house fire. Did they all? What really caused the fire?

    To Damon, Victoria is just your regular mafia princess. She has gotten all of the best things throughout her life AND she still has her loving father. Little does he know, his assumptions are completely wrong. Once Damon get's to know Victoria, will he be able to continue with his plan?

    Damon's plan: seduce Victoria and when she introduces him to her father, put a bullet between his eyes! Damon will get vengeance, regardless of the cost to Victoria. Will he really be able to make her fall in love with him without getting tangled feelings too? If his emotions take over, will he be able to continue with his plan?

    So many questions and yet so many answers when you read DEVIOUS!

    This was a pretty good read that I liked a lot. Damon aka Arlo is seeking revenge, revenge against his best friends dad. Victoria has been Arlo's best friend for years, when her dad takes his family away he grows up waiting and watching. Victoria is the daughter of a dark, twisted man. She doesn't know all her father had done. But she knows he's not good for her. I like Damon’s stubborn determination to stick to the plan. This was a good read that I liked. I have read this author before this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking to reading the next book in this series.

    Book 1 in a brand new series by the author. I didn’t think it was as dark as previous books by her but still just as sexy and gripping.
    Victoria and Damon became friends when they were both children but went their separate ways after a series of tragic events. Fast forward several years later when only one thing is in Damon’s mind: vengeance.
    The suspense part of the story was engaging but I thought the romance moved too fast. I might feel that way because I’m not a fan of stories where 2 people meet when they’re children/teenagers and carry a torch for a crush for so long, then they meet again and suddenly it’s love out of nowhere. It was still enjoyable though and I’ll definitely continue reading the series.

On the inside she’s dying slowly just missing her mom and the one guy that had her heart. Now this story is intense, twisted and definitely a page turner. I can’t wait for book 2! No spoilers you like revenge books this is one you definitely can’t pass up! 5/5 stars

    Wow this is my first book I’ve read by Angela synder and it won’t be my last .
    Wow I really enjoyed this book I read it in January as part of the wanted anthology and was hooked from the very first page , it’s a Tragedy what happens , revenge is wanted. I felt for Victoria I truly did . You could feel the emotions in this book the hatred the sadness but also the love that was blossoming between A&V even if A didn’t necessarily want to actually fall in love again with his childhood love all over again he need his revenge for his past . I didn’t think he would follow through with his end plan and the “dinner” surprised me
    What a cliff hanger.... I have to wait 3 months to find out what happens next 😩 but I know it will be worth it in Victorious book 2 .
