Will he accept them or die fighting for the woman who's turned his world upside down. Eleanor always thought she'd marry her friend Leon, but that changed with her father's death. She's sent to live in Nottingham where nothing is as it seems. Can she determine who the true hero of the story is before it's too late. I am a USA Today Bestselling, British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!).

When I have some spare time, I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi.
I'm an avid reader who turned to writing to combat my depression and anxiety. I have a love of traveling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality.

I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth, my heroines demure but with spunk, and my books full of dramatic suspense.

Wow!! What a brilliant, original, modern, retelling of the classic tale of Robin Hood.

Its full of action, twists, suspense... A definite page turner!! I absolutely loved it!! It deserves more than 5 stars.
I was pulled in and kept on the edge till the end. I loved the darkness and how Anna Edwards made you fall for the characters!! I especially liked Eleanor and Mathius.

I found this very well written and so easy to read that you will get pulled into the story!
I can highly recommend this book and this amazing author

The only negative thing that I can think to say about this read is that I wish there had been more to it. I thought this novella offered a unique and fresh twist on an old story, that I always enjoy and that in my opinion doesn't get an abundance of love and definitely does not get reimagined as often as the old tales of Cinderella or Beauty and The Beast (Which I adore by the way and there are some very excellent ones out there). While the basic bone are the same, so much is changed and that made this a very intriguing read that had me firmly in its grip right from the start. I felt that Mathius and Eleanor were compelling and likable characters and I truly enjoyed the blend of emotion, drama, suspense, tension, heat and intensity that flowed across the pages. I liked it. This is my frank, freely posted review.

    I'm giving this a 3.5.

This book is a retelling of Robin Hood. I am really familiar with all the various Robin Hood stories, so I was interested to see how Anna Edwards would handle it. I'm not entirely sure that I would call it a retelling as much as a tale from the world, if that makes sense. That's because it almost feels like Robin Hood's parents' story. I think part of that is because of the character of Eleanor. Now, the real Eleanor involved in the Robin Hood stories was Richard the Lionheart's and Prince John's mother.

It wasn't a bad story, and I did enjoy it. I just didn't think that it was focusing in on Robin Hood so much.

    **3.5 stars**
Very unique and original retelling of the tale of Robin Hood.
It’s like two worlds mixed into one.
Modern and medieval blended to became one.
Eleanor finds herself the ward of her evil uncle.
    She’s strong and capable.
And determined to fix what’s happening in Nottingham and it’s people.
With the help of Mathias they are about to do just that!
This book is interesting and fast paced.
Filled with action, drama and passion.

A Different Path is a modern day retelling of Robin Hood with some interesting twists. I loved the way Eleanor and Mathius worked together to overthrow her uncle and help the people of Nottingham. This is an action packed, entertaining read with great characters, mafia family drama, danger, suspense, steam, and intrigue. I loved that the overall tale we all know didn't change but the unique twists this author added to the story made it that much better. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
