    It was s very stressful series for me to read. It was so full of hurt and loss but of redemption and deliverance as well. I am glad it's finally coming to an end my heart can't take anymore stress...now I need a good romance to recover from this series.

    I loved the series. I love how multifaceted the supporting cast is in this series. You love to hate the bad guys, but somehow by the end of it find some sympathy for them because of how they ended up where they are. (Well, except one guy. But I won't spoil it.) After reading the first three books of the push and pull romance between Davin and Meghan this book was beyond satisfying to see that conflict finally find an end. Really creative idea, strong supportive back story, and great characters. As an avid reader, some books make me stop reading for a week to mourn the loss of the story or characters, and this is one of them.

    I devoured this series in less than a week (would have been shorter timeframe, but alas; adulting!).

    Pros:
    - Fun. Just good fun. Romance + crews that got the MC's back + bad guys that get their comeuppance + the happy ending you always want but are too cool to admit
    - FANTASTIC UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension) with the main pair.
    - You REALLY hate the bad guys.
    - Plot is neatly arranged and progresses at a smooth, but keep-you-interested pace.

    Cons(ish):
    - Don't know if this counts as a con for everyone, but it does for me; the eventual resolution of the UST is a good ole' vanilla fade to black. Boo!
    - A lot of work went into making the MC genuinely sound as smart as she would need to be to pull off what she does. And for the most part, the books succeed- with a few small exceptions I had to consciously ignore/pretend didn't happen/happened different so I didn't throw the book across the room (kidding/notkidding). I can't give examples without major spoilers, so I'll just say that there are times you may finally get to 'the answer' of whatever it is, and groan aloud because there were SO MANY BETTER PLACES the plot could have gone, but instead...
    - We also get peeks at what I think is an earlier version of the MC, one that may have been a SERIOUS Mary Sue (and not the fun kind). BUT, if that's the case, then the book did, overall, managed to avoid the MS vibe.
    - My main con could probably be summed up as, this could have easily been a book series of a much higher caliber, but it seems the choice was made deliberately to keep it at a 18 and under level, which is completely fine (it was just what I needed at the time!). I'll be poking at the author's other works to see if she has another book/series that will maybe scratch that itch.

    This book came out at midnight...and I stayed up until 3am reading it, because I HAD to know how it would end. I was not disappointed in the least. Will Meghan and Davin get their happy ending? Will the Kazzies ever be free to walk amongst the rest of us, or even better, be cured so no one ever knows they were ever sick? Will Senator Douglas and Dr. Roberts get their just desserts?? With all the political and racial termoil in the world today, Krista Street knocked this series out of the park for me. I've re-read each book at least twice since the last one came out, and will keep rereading them. This series was perfection.

    This series pulled me in from page one! I enjoyed the world that the author created, and the characters..... they were amazing! I found myself invested in each one. This series is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. And what an ending it was. Sad at times....but perfect! Such a great series. I'm quite sad the ride's over.

    It has its moments. There were some actions and sadness. But I would have been more okay if some scenes were added. Like the Kazzies funerals or the little grieving for them? I understood that was on top of everything but still. Shouldn't they deserve it? It was quickly forgotten. Or Meg and Davin talked about kids. So shouldn't have been a chapter down the lane, a bit into the future dedicated to it? The end felt kinda rushed. Many loose ends. And if the author wanted a cookie cutter ending then shouldn't be everyone paired off? Where was Sara Hea? Those little details. But altogether it was an alright series.

    I literally just read all 4 book in a matter of days love the series sorry to see it come to an end its well rounded story would recommend reading the series the only thing I will say is it would be nice with a epilogue say 3-5 years into the future as they talk about kids and how the virus would affect them as she even states its an unknown factor so it would of been nice to see them with kids and if they where born with the virus but healthy and what string they got or without it

    I just finished this last instalment of Krista Street’s very impressive series. And what an ending it was! The author kept the momentum going from the first sentence of the first book to the very last sentence of the last one. It’s been the best journey, full of twists and turns, great sorrow and even greater joys. Meg and Davin, and all the others, are like friends that I will miss terribly. The world that Krista Street imagined into being, then populated it with the most amazing and mostly lovable will remain in my memory for a very long time. To the Author I say thank you for sharing such delight.

    I don’t know if this book was smaller than the other 3 but it didn’t take long to read. Nice ending to the story but feel it lacked something, I guess it wasn’t as exciting as the first 2 books. I do get the feeling that Krista carry’s on her story a bit too long and loses something in doing so.

    brilliant story about secrets, ambition, cruelty and love; of brave survivors brutally treated, and the age old ridiculousness of officd politics. it's often not what you know but who you know that makes the difference.
