                    Another misleading insta ad that made me want to read this book after some spicy lines. I read 27 chapters and skipped to the last two. First 50% of the book were so chaotic (wanted to DNF it at 37%) and characters there were kinda immature. I got lost a couple of times but still managed 🤷🏼‍♀️ After Nikita got drugged and had a wedding - it would be nice to actually read about it. Also, the main characters right after started acting like F.ing rabbits 🤦🏼‍♀️ Spice was good tho.

                      Mrs. Boyes gave me everything that i love in a romance. The angst, the stubbornness, not caving first in an argument. I really wanted to tear my hair out when Nikita runs away and then Makism still finds a way to be with her even though he is upset. i was surprised at the turn of events and the suspense in this novel grabs me doesn't let me go. i understand how Nikita felt. We all want someone to put us first but yet she almost let her fear get the best of her. The spice and the dialogue gave me everything I needed in a read to keep me turning pages. I loved this book and will continue the series to see what happens with Zoya"s story. There is a couple of Series that I need to add to btr list. Thank you for the story and the love that came at the end.

FMC need more development from the beginning you get snips of her throughout the story but it’s hard to piece together.

                      Not 5 stars because there were plot development holes that had me rereading paragraphs wondering what I missed as well as trying to figure out who was talking and about whom they were speaking. Not sure if it was a KU edition but it seemed like this book would have benefited from another editing round.

                      I wish I had understood from the beginning that this was also a mystery about an illness that was spreading and that the FMC was going to be a part of solving the problem. It is introduced at the beginning but it feels like a part of the background and not part of the main plot.

                      Still a fun story, loved the spice.

                      When I read the blurb on Facebook for Doctored Vows, it caught my attention and I had to see how the story unfolded. The story started out kind of slow but boy did it heat up and couldn’t put the book down. Loved Maksim protectiveness of Doc from the first time she walked in his mother’s room. Nikita was a third year surgeon intern who just wanted to save lives whether they were rich or poor. She was taking of her grandparents with her grandfather on oxygen twenty-four seven. When she discovered that Maksim was scheduled for surgery and she was assigned to the roster, she went to check on the patient. In her observation she found the patient didn’t need surgery. The chief medical staff and some other criminals was using the hospital to kill patients and harvest their organs to sell on the black market. When her supervisor tried to stop her from ordering some tests for his mother, Maksim intervened. Nikita best friend sister was getting married and the went to the hen party, Maksim realized the doctors at the hospital was blaming her for the murders. He married Nikita when she was drunk to protect her and him not being to testify against her but he made her think it was the opposite. Very good book and looking forward to reading the next one in the series. The book showed how true love was found between them that no matter how they tried, they couldn’t get enough of each other. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I definitely recommend reading this book.

                      I enjoyed Doctored Vows by Shandi Boyes. At times early on in the book, I was a little unsure what was happening. Having said that, as the story progressed certain moments within the book made the story flow better. The plot was engaging and had me guessing throughout.

                      New to me voice actors, Artemis Jones and J. Tipstone performed the FMC, MMC and all supporting characters with ease. The accent work was really well executed. Looking forward to hearing more from you both!

                      This is my first book from Shandi, and I will not hesitate in reading more from this author. Thank you Shandi for an enjoyable story.

                      Nikita is a up and coming surgeon who stumbles upon something that is way bigger than her and puts her in the path of Maksim Ivanov.

                      So imagine waking up sluggish and confused to only find out that you are married to the Bratva mob boss Maksim Ivanov.

                      This is a big book. It went in directions I absolutely wasn't expecting. This book will have you laughing, crying, cringing, and everything in between.

                      The next book in the series is already shaping up to be just as explosive.

                      100% always recommend Shandi Boyes as an author once she sucks you in you are in her world forever.
