Double Exposure (Divine Duet Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 56 ratings

I have a feeling her skin would taste better than the rare cask Macallan in my hand.

Deep, rich, sweet, warm... like sin.

First, she saunters by me in a darkened nightclub, taunts and teases me, then she is sitting in the front row of my lecture the next morning looking like Venus herself.

She appears to be much too young for me.

I should run from her. Run from how badly I want her.

But I'm a masochist in sadist clothing.

She could give me the pleasure I desire...

Or she could destroy me.

She danced for me that night and sealed her fate.

I wanted to feel her, kiss her, bask in her.

But, her presence cracks me open, exposing my every secret, my every sordid thought, and private moment.

And yet, that only makes me want her more.

I shouldn't crave her. This is dangerous.

But, if I'm already going to hell, I’m going to relish every moment on the way down.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Double Exposure by Ariana Rose and Emma Nichole is hands down one of the best forbidden Teacher / student romances I have read this year! From the moment I sat down and started reading, I was hooked and so completely invested in Nora and Tristan's story" - Goodreads Reviewer

"I love how this story ends. A friend of mine recommended me this book and I wouldn't be more happier than reading how two people that has gone through everything find peace and love together." -
Goodreads Reviewer

"The storyline pulled me in easily and kept me engaged until the end. Their story was gritty and raw bur so real and I respected that a great deal. I also love every time I run into "found family". I really hope this isn't the last from this author duo."

Several things I enjoyed regarding this book were the fact the over flowery words were from the male character as opposed to the woman. Nora had an inner strength we noticed more as the book progressed. The start of the story builds on the intense attraction between the artist and his muse, however as the story unravels it takes on more of a thriller tone. The other point I like is the plot is not resting on the whole professor/student relationship. They actually deal with this issue like a mature adults, (gasp!).

Nora, a woman with a dark past and alluring body like a siren is down to earth and likable. Tristan had a way with words best describes as Austen like. He is dark Mr. Darcy filled with desire for his Petal, but convinced he must pay penance.

Moody, mysterious and steamy! An age-gap, student-teacher romance that’s full of intrigue, mystery and sexy romance as Nora embarks on a new path to gain her college degree and leave her traumatic past behind. It’s an instant connection between her and a mystery man that’s all sizzle and sweetness. He turns out to be a surprising influence in her life. Tristan is consumed with the young beauty and when she appears in his life he wants her. It’s a bit of a slow burn between the two when Tristan realizes he needs to treat her with care for many reasons. The slow build to hot love was a sensual ride with this renaissance man and his muse. Tristan was almost too good to be true. He’s a renown art history professor, an artist, a violin master, a talented cook and a skilled hunk in the bedroom. Not to mention that sexy British accent. Tristan does have a secret that unfolds during the story as does Nora. Both were tragic with a tie to each other that’s easy to figure out. Nora was a sweet, young beauty that’s lead an interesting life starting at a young age. She’s supported by her bestie, Lucas and his parents. That relationship is a really nice part of the story like Tristan’s second mom, Anna. I didn’t understand Nora’s reluctance at disclosing her secret to Tristan. As the romance grew so did a threat to Nora and the danger took a turn that put lives in peril. It’s a race to save loved ones and thwart the villain. There was a lot of emotion in the story but not a lot of angst. I really like Tristan and his layers. Nora has a few flaws to me but she was very likable. The romance was a sexy, hot love affair that grew into a real relationship. It was a bit slow in parts for me but overall it was a suspenseful romance full of sensual encounters between a delicious couple in a slightly taboo relationship with a deadly villain that deserved what he got. Worth the read!

    I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

This book has everything you need: a mist of darkness seeping in from past trauma, interwoven with a layer of great good guys and a vile, evil villain, topped with a satisfying HEA - all the basics, done so well.

    4 Stars from Tiffany!

That's mean, but it's the vibe I got from Tristian at first glance. In Double Exposure, Ariana Rose gives us a May-December romance with a sexy professor and his student.

We start off with the usual meet-cute the night before and then the shock of seeing each other in class the next day. I wasn't a fan of Tristian right off the bat. He was arrogant and a bit of an a-hole. Nora was young and sweet and without the right kind of storyline, this teacher student romance can go all sorts of bad. In my eyes when a man with Tristian's personality constantly pursues a younger woman, she feels pressured. As the story unfolds, we see there are reasons why Tristian's walls are so high and I did start to sympathize and understand him.

We have an insta-love/lust thing going on, however also a healing of two broken souls, something I really like. Tristian and Nora both have some trauma from thier past that they are struggling to move on from. The road to happiness together is going to be a bumpy one, but that's what makes a good read.

The book is well written and I enjoyed the transformation of Tristian's personality, although he stayed a bit dramatic around the edges. Along with our main characters we have a handful of supporting characters to move the story along. Double Exposure reads as as standalone.

This is Tristan and Nora’s story. Both characters have a past which has left them broken, which they manage in their own ways, and when these two find each other, they become each other’s safe place, and they support and heal each other. This is a well written story which is raw, gritty, and an emotional roller coaster, with angst, undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, and love, which leads to a sweet and enjoyable page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented duo whose work I recommend.

The first part of this book was a little slow for me. Just a few more details than I needed, but then it really kicked into gear and I could not stop reading. There were many elements that fit together perfectly. The story telling is fantastic in that it makes you feel like you are really there and experiencing all the things first hand. Both Nora and Tristan have pasts that could have destroyed them, but didn’t. Both need to learn what love really is and how to be vulnerable again. When they do, their connection is enviable. There were a few twists and turns that had my adrenaline blasting. If you’re into student teacher, age gap or a little suspense you will enjoy this book.
