Dreads & Crew Cuts (Takoda Outreach Center Book 4) Kindle Edition
Welcome to Takoda Outreach Center. Prepare yourself for open hearts, a full belly, and all the love you can handle.
When my homophobic, racist father caused a scene at my high school graduation, nobody was surprised, especially me. Getting kicked out the same day? Not a surprise either. I knew today represented freedom, but…maybe not quite so much?
With nowhere else to go, I’d be stupid to turn down Kamari’s kind offer. My brother’s super hot best friend isn’t only offering a place to stay, the man seems excited about it. I just need to keep my crush a secret so things don’t get awkward.
Now we’re hanging out every night, going on runs and having dinner, and my feelings are growing from crush to…so much more. With us both catching feels, will I be able to keep him? My relationship with my brother is everything to me, and I can’t lose either of them. The question is, how will my brother feel about our newfound love? Please, God, don’t make any of us have to choose.
This fourth book in the Takoda Outreach Center has a young man with beautiful hair and eyes that mesmerize, men who drive each other to a distraction with their lack of shirts, and an over-protective big brother who’s reaction isn’t quite what they expected. In Sammi’s low-angst, super-sweet world, hugs are freely given and happily-ever-afters are guaranteed.

About the author

Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2023I was hoping that lachy would get a book since he was introduced. I will say I didn't quite expect him to end up with Kamari tho but that was certainly a pleasant surprise. I will say even when I realized it would be them two I certainly didn't expect the dynamic to be what if was but was not disappointed. I loved them together and loved reading there book. I absolutely love this series and all the series that go with it. Such an amazing author. I would definitely recommend this book
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2023I love getting to see Lachlan’s story. I also love that Kamari is who he is paired with. Their connection to each other through Jasper makes their quick connection seem very realistic. I love the family vibe in this whole series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2022Well written story and well developed characters! Sammi Cee tackles some heavy stuff and does it so awesomely! The relationships of all the people are fantastic and the stories are totally relatable! Although they should all be read in order for the best experience!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2021Lachlan and Kamari's love story continues the growth of the center and the amazing characters. The series continues to show us that the love of a partner and the love of family is paramount . Family being based on love and connection and not by blood.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2022Lachy has endured loss, concern for estranged family and feeling trapped and all alone! Kamara has been living a good life when his best friend was separated. Being like brothers they are able to reconnect. Now his best friends little brother not so little and the bro code is a line he shouldn't cross....or should he? This is a great reminder those that care have your back if you let them. MM romance. Trigger warning abuse. More book reviews @my2centsbooklover!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2023I love it when an author pulls in periphery Charan’s gives them a story!
It was lovely to see Jasper’s brother and his best friend find love together. Like two kissing pieces that just fit.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2023Lachlan finally had enough. He crawled out from under his dad's tyranny and took back his life. Moving in with Kamari was the best thing he ever did.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2021One of the good things about the book is that I liked that it was less than 20 chapters. I truly enjoy interracial couples, being is that I'm a black woman married to a white man. I truly love gay novels because it gives me so much more than a regular romance novel. However this book did not have a lot of romance and that is one of the things that I missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars last one
Such a cute series … I’m so sad as I am on the last one and it’s not about Jonathan so it sucks having to wait to read about him but so looking forward to this one

5.0 out of 5 stars Dreads and Crew Cuts
Really happy to see Lachy and Kamari get their HEA. It was quite emotional with the story of loss and the grief that comes with it. I hope before the series is over Jasper and Lachlan’s dad gets his comeuppance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Takoda outreach centre 4
This one was less about the people of the outreach centre but still really enjoyable to see the two brothers managing to form a closer bond

4.0 out of 5 stars Brother bestfriend
Oh yes. Finally Lachy have finish high school and could finally finally cut the chain with his homophobic, racist and so many synonym of hate father. And Finally, reunite with his brother, Jasper. Kamari, Jasper high school bestfriend, his back in town from college and he offer to Lachy to became his roomates. Slow story about a young adult who try to understand his sudden attraction on his brother bestfriend. Could they go there? Can he have it all without losing everything? Honestly, there was not a lot going on in this book. It was a lovely story, but it could have been longer to develop more each scene, describe more the turmoil of emotions, reconnection with Jasper, his new family at the kitchen soup, admit his problem to Jasper (he told kamari who tell him to talk to Jasper but we didnt saw that scene) So yeah, I know it's a short and sweet serie, but this book could be so much more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
I love this series completely different to other stories I have read. I just wish it was longer as I thought the ending finished abruptly
