Dusty's Tracks: A Devil's Armada (O.L. Novel) 1 (The Devil's Armada MC (O.L.) Series) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 56 ratings

Everyone needs a backstory—even those whose backstory isn’t filled with rainbows and pretty ponies.

I’d made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I don’t hold myself accountable for the decisions I had to make. That’s my sister’s problem—she made me what I am. I spent half my life stuck in her stupid shadow and she’s led me down roads that would make your skin crawl. Now that I have a chance to branch off on my own, I’m going to make something of myself and find my own power without her. The path I chose was supposed to lead me to finding my own identity; instead, it has led me straight into the arms of a villain hell bent on corrupting me. His poisons are addicting, and I crave his evil as much as I craved my independence from Filly.

Now the only tracks I want to make leave scars along my skin, and the ones I left behind, I’m hoping to cover up; that way my sister will never see the monster I’ve become.

Trigger warning: This book contains scenes and situations which may be too dark for some readers. If you're easily triggered by dark characters and situations, this book and series may not be for you. This book contains drug abuse, abuse, and situations and characters that are triggering.

Quinn Ryder didn't start out writing dark romantic suspense. Writing since 2015, Quinn has dabbled in all sorts of genres, but found a home within the mean streets of the fictional worlds of motorcycle clubs, mafias, and mayhem.

Driven to bring readers something different, Quinn Ryder is a pro at writing stories that are going to keep you guessing, have you throwing your kindles, and swooning at the same time. Her worlds are full of danger, intrigue, twists and turns, dangerous men, stubborn and head-strong women, and passion. Her unique writing style focuses specifically on invoking emotion out of her readers and making her readers feel like they are right there on the page with her characters.  Specializing in dark romantic suspense, Quinn primarily writes motorcycle club romance, but will be embarking on new adventures in 2024-2025. If you like an author that doesn't write in the box but strives to write out of it, you'll love her series new and old.

As a second pen name, Quinn spends most of her time at her computer living in fictional worlds, but in her spare time she's known to have a slight obsession with the color green, Funko pops, 80's movies, books, and of course spending time with her family. She loves all types of music, strolling through nature, and eating Tootsie Pops and Redvines while writing.

Quinn Ryder, creating worlds full of danger and intrigue, while riding the road one word at a time.

Y’all won’t want to miss this at all!! I love how this author writes her MC different then other authors. She grabbed my attention immediately and still has it even after I’ve finished it!! This is NOT a romance. In fact, it’s far from it. This is a dark, twisted, deep story of the struggles Dusty/Daisy has been through and is still going through. Her day to day fight within herself. Get ready y’all, there are things you WON’T be expecting at all.

Thank you for another great read Quinn. You rock babe!! 🖤☠️🖤

Dusty's Tracks is a well-written story about a girl whose circumstances shape her into something not nice. Sometimes you feel for her while other times not so much. To say she has demons would be an understatement.

So, why read about her, you ask?

Simple - the writing is engaging and Dusty is so complex you can't help but follow along on the journey. Plus I have no doubt the next book, Cipher's Code is going to be a page-turner.

One of the best things an author can do for me is to give me backstory complete with epic details. Quinn Ryder gave me a great insight into Dusty. I was hooked right from the start.

Is evil born or created, is someone either inherently good or evil. Could she have been a better person if someone had cared or was that part of her always there just waiting to come out. He was truly evil, he set his sites on her and built her into what he wanted corrupting her with drugs. She was sent to be a pawn and discover their secrets but what she found instead was a way to get away and become someone else. She also discovered a darker side to even people she once trusted.

This book was everything Quinn said it would be and more! It was so dark and beautifully depicted and showed the real life horrors and pain of addiction and the life you can quickly fall into. There’s no HEA, there’s no conclusion to her story, and it’s broken and full of despair with little hope found, but that is what made it even the more realistic.

    Epic Read!!!

Dusty's Tracks gives you insight into Dusty's life and how she got to where she's at. It tells how she has always lived in her sister's shadow and hated that she doesn't have her own identity. She finally breaks free, or does she. This book is definitely not a love story and doesn't have a HEA, but it does give you her story and what she will do to survive.
Pick up a copy before the next book comes out.

A dark twisted read that'll have you consumed. Not an easy story but it's definitely one of those that's necessary to demonstrate the choices one makes and what happens as a result. There's even a few surprises you won't seeing coming.

This is one of those books where you live and hate the heroine in equal measure. Daisy/Dusty does something and you want to slap her then she shows that vulnerable side and went she did the bad thing, just as you think she's ok she is mixed up from her past she does something else to get your back up. Guerilla is vile and she needs to be away from him, Cipher seems to have actual feelings for her but he's way too good for her. Quinn writes books that I don't want to end but I do because I want the next one

I loved this insight into Dusty, it's not unicorns and rainbows but it's raw and real and goes a way to explaining what makes Dusty makes the decisions she does. Amazingly written and I can't wait for the next installment in th series. Definitely a read for anyone that loves MC lifestyle.

I can honestly say I do not like Dusty/Doris. Whilst I would not wish her on my worst enemy I do think she deserves everything that is going to come at her.
