    This was a quick read. It was a sweet romance that had some emotional depth I wasn’t expecting. It also had a little bit of suspense that made the climax that much more intense. Having read the two spin off series that came after The Edge, I noticed several hints about future couples and it has me even more interested to dive into more of this series.

    Halle and Jonah meet in a bar and have an instant connection, but neither believe they’re in a place for a relationship and agree on a one night stand. However, after they part ways, they keep running into each other before realizing Halle’s new job is at the health clinic Jonah owns and works at. They both agree they can’t continue with their non-relationship but both struggle with their feelings and seeing each other every day. Jonah is unconvinced he could have room in his heart for a new relationship after losing his wife to cancer two years ago and Halle doesn’t trust her instincts with men because of a string of bad relationships.

    Ultimately their no-feelings fling turns into so much more, especially with the threat of danger lurking around Halle. I liked that the suspense with her ex took the place of the typical third act breakup. And I liked how that brought them closer instead of pushing them apart. I defiantly would have liked a bit more of their relationship after they went public, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything about their ending.

    Halle has broken up with her boyfriend of two years because it wasn't absolutely not working any longer. Right afterwards her ex boyfriend was arrested for hacker crimes on the dark web. He used all the credit card numbers and he tried to take down companies and websites. He got away with it because that's what he did for a living. Halle goes to a bar for girls night out with her girlfriends. They tell her she needs to get out there again. They make a bet with her to hit on a sad looking guy at the bar. So she goes over and starts talking to Jonah. He had lost his wife two years ago and he was just besides himself because of the loss. Jonah is a doctor. They hit it off and they go back to his place to have crazy wild sex! Come to find out she is going to be working for him, she is a nursing assistant. They finally meet again and she finds out the he owns the medical clinic. That's where she has started a new job. As his employee, he can't date Halle. But, stuff happens for them and they start having a hot romance. The more they get involved with each other, they both realize how much they love each! Not to spoil the story for you all... There is more to this story than whatever I have already said about it. The book has so many things happening that I can't even tell you. It's awesome read so enjoy it! Hot! Hot!!     This was another great story and great hero. It was a little different plot with a Doctor and FNP. Jonah was originally from England, but raised in the States, so he had a slight accent but all the colloquialisms from the UK. It was fun to try and imagine his voice and accent as well as Halle’s (who was originally from SC and had a Southern Accent that came out here and there.) I liked this and thought it was cute.
    Jonah was excellent. He was widowed for 2 years and still grieved his wife as they had a great marriage. I liked this trope as many times past relationships were more hurtful than loving. He finds that he can’t deny Halle and his attraction for her. I enjoyed that he fought it weakly and decided to go after what he wanted ( or at least somewhat) for the majority of the story.
    Halle was cute and sweet. She had a big heart and was easy to engage with as a reader.

    Overall a lovely story. It will be fun to see the next in line!
