Ecta: The Divide Kindle Edition

****Trigger warning. 18+ readers only as contains scenes of a sexual nature, violence and strong language.****
(This book is a prequel to a much larger book to be released soon)

For centuries, the people of Skywaard have been content in their industrial civilization in the clouds, isolated and separated from the primitive people of Ariviil with their strange potions and magic. They have been sequestered for too long, however, and resources are running low. The only way the people of the skies will survive is if they find a way to work with those who walk the lands.
That is where Sebastian comes in.
Up until now, he has lived a charmed life of debauchery, growing up in a noble ward left him wanting for nothing. Still, he finds the life of sex, drugs, booze, and women can leave a man feeling rather… empty. Driven by a longing for purpose, he abandons the comforts of Skywaard and departs for Ariviil.
He wants adventure, and he finds it. In walks the intoxicating little package that is Loriella.
She’s an outcast, ostracized for possessing a gift that the people of Ariviil fear. People always fear what they do not understand, even in a city built on magic. She accepted this fate a long time ago resigning herself to a life of isolation and loneliness… until she meets Sebastian. They say you crave what you need, and she needs him with every ounce of her being. Will he turn her away when he learns of her gift, just as her own people have done?
As the entwined souls from incompatible worlds try to negotiate a treaty between their people and navigate a romance doomed for disaster, they uncover an even darker reality brewing on the horizon that no one saw coming.
Will they be able to make peace among the chaos, or will it all end in war?

Kyle and Samantha teamed together and made this amazing novel.
Sebastian is from Skywaard, a city made of Zepplins in the sky. Loriella is from Ariviil a civilization that lives on the ground. When Skywaard is looking for help from the people from the land they decide to send Sebastian down to negotiate. That is when he meets up with Loriella. When worse comes to worse he escapes to go back home with Lori in hand, and she does not get the welcome that he was hoping for.
This is a quick read and by the time I had gotten to the end of the book I wanted the story to last longer. I am very excited to read what they come up with next when the next installment comes out.

Ecta: The Divide by Kyle Perkins and Samantha Harrington left me absolutely breathless. What was once one community of people, was long ago split up into two separate worlds. They people of Skywaard live up in the clouds, and always seem to be infectiously happy. While the people of Ariviil live on the ground, and have no problem showing their pain. Two completely different societies and yet, they both need each other, even if they don't want to admit it.

Sebastian has everything anyone could ever want up in Skywaard! He's handsome, has family money and is a bachelor who loves the ladies. So why does he feel as though he's missing out on something? He gets recruited to go down to the ground and ask them for aid, and although this should be an easy journey, he meets Loriella and everything he thought he once knew, has now changed.

Loriella has lived in Arivill her whole life, and does everything she can to survive on her own. While some people use her gift as an excuse to make her an outcast, she rose above and decided to use her gift to help people. She had finally gotten to the point in her life where she was comfortable just living, financially and she was no longer upset about being alone. But then, Sebastian falls out of the sky, and threatens everything Loriella Has ever been told.

Will Skywaard and Arivill end up working together to create a harmonized partnership? Or will they tear each other apart with an all out war?

To find out please read this beautifully written novel! Once you read the first page, you won't stop until the last.

Two worlds existing in the same time and space but couldn't be further apart. What drove them apart? Their differences. The world floating above, SkyWaard, is full of technological advances. The world below, Ariviil, has food. SkyWaard's emissary Sebastion is sent down to negotiate a truce in hopes to secure an exchange between technology and the food his people need. But there is corruption in every government power and they don't always bend to reason. Loriella is a powerful empath. Her gifts cause her to be seen in a negative manner. She's often looked down upon as a whore. Her potions and her magic often engender mistrust. When Sebastion and Loriella meet the world slips away for a moment. This is a story of two very different but similar people from two very different worlds coming together at a time when their worlds are preparing for war. It has a cliffhanger ending that will leave you begging more more. These authors have spun a web with this tale that will leave you begging to be entangled!

4.5 . I wasn't exactly sure how to rate this book .I loved Monte . I was hoping this book would have that powerful sexual preference to an extent . I definitely did not get bored with it but I also was not blown away . It was a different little short story that has plenty of potential and I look forward to reading more .

I loved this book! What a world that has been created by Samantha Harrington and Kyle Perkins!
The world created within this book leaves you breathless. With a civilization separated hundreds of years ago, basic necessities are needed to sustain life in the sky. Sebastian is sent to negotiate trade between the separated societies; food for technology.
Having the magical ability to absorb the pain that suffocates others, Loriella brings so much emotion to this read. When their worlds collide, the true connection between Sebastian and Loriella is developed throughout the book, creating a feeling of passion and need.
Everyone over 18 should read this book! I loved this read and I anticipate more from these amazing authors!

I want to start off saying this book is a first for me from both authors. This is a short sexy read. I will not be giving away any spoilers. :-P

The story follows (in my opinion) a manwhore named Sabastian and a pretty awesome woman named Loriella. To me she stole the show. I read some is the other reviews and have heard the term "steampunk" but never really understood it. NOW I know. It is pretty cool. Never read anything like it before. The book is very sexual, so read the disclaimer.

I thought the characters and the world the story was based in was underdeveloped. I would love to get a better visual on everything. A little more background on the main characters. I don't remember anything specific about the main guy. I also think it could use one more time with an editor. I'm not one by any means, just I noticed some words missing. Nothing horrible, just a few missed here and there.

Saying that, I couldn't stop reading. It just sucked me in. I know it can be hard to understand how to want more but can't stop reading. It happens. I wanted to know what happened. I wanted to read about their world. I just want more. It kinda ends on a cliff. Not a bad one, but you know there is/needs to be a follow up book.

I will be reading the second book and I will recommend this one.

The tag team of writing by these two authors is amazing.

Two civilizations, each without the help of the other, make a life for themselves. Technology vs Human. Which is better? Well, they both have their pros and cons, but what happens when they need the other to survive?

This story is fast paced and well thought out. I couldn't put it down, and I can't wait for the next one!!

Let's start off by saying I LOVED THIS BOOK... Separately Kyle and Samantha are incredible authors and at completely different ends of the Genre spectrum, BUT together they have created something both special and magical, unique even with this story. They each have a way of pulling you into the story, making you believe that you are a part of it.

This is a fast paced novella that will leave you begging for more. The instant connection and sexual tension between Sebastian and Loriella is off the charts. Both being from different worlds (so to speak) can they make this work or are they heading for misery? With talks of war who knows what will happen!!!! I am really looking forward to reading the next installment in this series. This deserves more than 5*'s, a job well done
