Eeli (The Brotherhood of Ormarr Book 3) Kindle Edition
Eeli~
I’ve been training my entire life for this; I need to be the best, the best fighter, the best dragon rider in the entire brotherhood. This is what I was born for. The only problem is that my bonded dragon, Bodhi, and I can’t seem to get it together. One minute I think we’re connecting properly, and the next she’s taking off, leading me to the one guy I don’t want to know: Slash. He’s basically the opposite of me in every way, and I don’t get why he’s suddenly everywhere I turn, but I can’t deny how he makes me feel when he looks at me.
Slash~
Three years ago my sister and I had to come to a new town and started new schools without our parents’ unconditional love and support. My uncle’s an uncaring drunk, so I’m doing the best I can to keep us both clothed and fed with only an after school job. If I didn’t have her to live for, the loneliness would be excruciating. Now, with only a few months until graduation, I’ve suddenly made a friend because of my sister, and another guy keeps stumbling into me who I think needs help: Eeli. I don’t understand why no one else sees how oddly he’s behaving, but I can’t deny my attraction for him is growing with every mishap.
Eeli is the third book in The Brotherhood of Ormarr series. While each book focuses on a different couple, the overall story arc continues in the next installment. For maximum enjoyment, we suggest reading in order. Eeli is a m/m NA romance, and is recommended for adults 18 years and older.

About the authors
Bobbie Rayne grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and still lives there today. She’s married to her very patient husband, and they have two amazing sons together, as well as two crazy dogs. She spends her time writing, driving her kids all over town, and helping run the PTA.
Her children are one of the reasons she loves YA so much, and one reason why she thinks it’s important to bring LGBTQ+ main characters into fiction. Writing YA has always been a dream of hers, and she truly believes that writing it is good for her soul. Her family means the world to her, but coffee might be high up on that list, too, so if you bring her some, you just might end up with a new best friend.
Steph Marie is a proud mom of two teenage daughters and her pup. She’s always had a love for words and what they can do, their ability to create and transform life. She’s shared her words and stories with people in her immediate life, but never considered writing and publishing Young Adult until her oldest daughter said she wished all teens had the ability to sit around her kitchen table and talk. That night a series was born, and characters haven’t stopped popping up in her head wanting their story told yet. Her favorite things in life outside of her family are a huge cup of coffee, a blanket to snuggle under, and a delicious piece of cake—if you’re nice, she’ll even share.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2025This was a sweet romance between two orphans. They are classmates, but it takes Eeli’s dragon to get them together and to recognize that they are mates. There is some adventure and danger, and the whole family is present to care for each other as the two MCs get their HEA.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2024I wasn't sure how I felt about the sex scenes with both Eeli and Slash being so young. Their connection was very sweet and I like the way their backstory linked to the ongoing storyline.
Another thing that made me kinda squirmy was the connection between Kayla and Malachite. I know these are the good guys, but a 26 year old guy spending a lot of time alone with a girl in middle school they just met feels wrong. I wouldn't be comfortable with it as a parent or guardian.
Still looking forward to the last book in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2019I love this series and the dynamics of the different authors. Eeli was an intriguing character for me because of his age, yet his relationship with Slash was perfectly executed through a nice slow burn. They were both battling demons that kept each other at odds before they even truly knew each other. Once those walls were brought down their tenderness with each other made them possibly my favorite of these books. Throw in an adorable little sister and a candy wrapper hoarding dragon in Bodhi (not trash, pretties lol) and you’ve got a must read.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2022Well written story and well developed characters! This time it is the youngest brother's story! Eeli feels that he must always try to be the best at everything! As the youngest and smallest, he is considered the runt of the family. So he is constantly trying to out do everyone else!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2021This is a fantasy YA modern romance with a touch of suspense! It has been fascinating to read a series with each book written by different authors and yet the beautiful world-building stays consistent through out. I’m not going to lie, I get hesitant to read romance that starts during high school but this author thankfully wrote things in a sweet, tasteful, real way with all the butterflies and fumblings of a budding romance. I’m about to start book 4 with Notaro & Cee writing; however, there’s a little treat in this book for Notaro fans, but that’s all I’ll say on that!

This is book 3 in the Brotherhood of Ormarr series. Each book focuses on a different couple but should be read in order due to an overarching storyline.
Book 3 was different than book 1 and 2. I felt like this one was more juvenile which it should be since it is a love story between 2 high school students. This story was slower paced than book 1 and 2 which was ok because the MCs had to wade through a TON of past hurts! That being said, I felt like this one didn't progress the main storyline as much as 1 and 2 did. Maybe I'm just impatient to find out who the bad guy is. 🤷♀️
I did like the chosen family theme in this story but I felt like that became the focus more so than Eeli and Christian calling in LOVE and this might be an unpopular opinion but I'm not a fan of Bo the dragon.
Overall, a solid effort and I'm looking forward to wrapping everything up in book 4!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2022So many tears every time I read this story in the series. Eeli has finally bonded with his dragon Bodhi now that he is eighteen. But Bo keeps acting up around Eeli's classmate Slash/Christian. Turns out Christian is Eeli's mate and he and his sister have more to do with the Brotherhood than anyone knew. Christian and Kyla's story is so sad, I cry every time I read it. As heartbreaking as it is, there is still plenty of humor and heart throughout Eeli and Christian's story. I love this series so much! I just wish this installment was in paperback, I need it for my hoard!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2022I’m so happy I kept going with the series…the plot gets better and better and you get to know the characters more as the story goes on. I know the books have separate authors but I think they’ve done a great job of making the story feel like one. I love Eeli’s story because of how sweet and special his love is at such a young age. I was engaged at my own high school graduation to my other half and it’s nice when stories celebrate that love can come at any time. This journey has been fun and I can’t wait to read on to the end!

5.0 out of 5 stars Young love
This was one of my favourites within this series was with a great relationship arc, some true family bonding and involvement, and more fascinating information about this dragon riders world. The only thing I worry is that not enough went towards finding more about the Order and with only one book left it could be a rush ending.
This book had a bit more innocence and puppy love to it as it does involve two eighteen year olds. Though Eeli is only eighteen he meets his mate at school, Slash, a guy in his grade. The two have been noticing each other all year but often in an antagonistic way more than anything. But realizing that Slash is his mate has Eeli kidnapping him to keep him safe (this family!), but with the help of all his brothers he gets the chance to really have something with Slash. The slow burn development from annoyance to crush to sweet young love is lovely over the course of the story.
This book really connects back well to the last two. Despite being about this couple it in no way exists in a vacuum. The lessons of what happened with Azaran and Zale's mates and the troubles they went through help guide Eeli and Slash. All the brothers are there to support them, to remind them they always have family. It was a book of both romantic love and family love which was beautiful.
Eeli and Slash each have hurts in their past that they work through being together. In each case it is about family and loss. They balance each other well and bring out these issues, letting them talk and heal. It was clear that though they were young, this was love that could grow and evolve, being together through any trials to come.
An excellent addition to this series I eagerly anticipate reading the last book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous read!!
I was so excited to read Eeli, as not only is it part of a fantastic series about dragons, but it is written by my favourite team of co-authors!
Eeli was just as amazing as I thought it would be, I absolutely adored Eeli and Slash and loved how we saw their characters flourish and grow. Added to this a great storyline and Bodhi, what more could I ask for?
Really can't wait to read Malachite now!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving this series!
This was a beautifully written addition to the series. I haven't read either of these authors before, and I thoroughly enjoyed their combined writing style. It had great character development and depth, and I loved how seamless it was from the previous books in the series.
We didn't see much progression in the investigations into the Order and Brotherhood, but we did get a lot of blanks filled in regarding other events, such as the lack of oil for the dragons in Davis's clan.
I loved getting to know Eeli and also Christian/Slash. It was a different dynamic than the others given their ages, but was very well written. I loved Christian's sister, Kyla, as well, and seeing her friendship with Malachite develop as well.
I can't wait to see where the next book takes us with Malachite and how the series wraps up. Definitely a series I would recommend, even after the slow start in book 1.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good
While I liked this one on the romance side, the back plot was definitely missing. We didn't have any mention of the Brotherhood or Order until almost 70% thru the book. And what was there, while a bigger side point in the storyline was lacking in the main plotline of the whole Brotherhood/Order odeal. We didn't make any headway really from Zale's book. Curious how they are going to wrap it all up in one book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
All four books flow together incredibly well, even though they have different authors. I'm assuming this must have been partly due to the editing. That said each book has well developed characters, the descriptions are great, the overall story was imaginative and well thought out and the balance between humour and at times quite a dark story was spot on. If you like fantasy and romance, these are a must read!
