Bride of the Emperor (The Prophecy of Sisters Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 109 ratings

Drucilla Collins knows something is very wrong. All three of her sisters are missing. As the baby of the family, her sisters are always there for her—except now.

Where could they be? Three sisters who live across the country from one another don’t just disappear into thin air—do they? She doesn’t think that they could until it happens. They’re gone.

Landing on a strange beach, a warrior appears on a horse in what appears to be some foreign countryside. He is enormous, his body is gorgeous, but his face is hidden behind a metal helmet.

When he scoops her up from the ground, she is sure that all of this means that she will be seeing her sisters soon. They must be wherever this strange beast of a man is taking her.

Tiberius Quirinus is the newly crowned Emperor of Savona. Trained to be a warrior, he never wanted to take over the empire. His father was a tyrant. A man that he had to put down himself to save his people.

An ancient prophecy is well on its way to becoming fulfilled. Tiberius knows that he is the last piece of the puzzle, but there is a problem, he cannot love. The emotion does not exist inside of him, at least not romantically.

Two people who never imagined settling down. Marriage was nothing that either of them desired. Two people who take what they want, when they want.

Magic, witches, gods, and goddesses fill their new relationship and their world. Can they destroy their walls and fall in love, or will their world crumble before them?

I couldn’t wait to read this book which is also the series finale, and I was dying to see how it would all wrap up. I was not disappointed at all. There were quite a few twists and turns, lots of magic, good and bad, lots of drama, lots of tears, happy and not so much. Just like her three older sisters before her, Drucilla gets pulled into a world she knows nothing about, a parallel universe, where a lot of responsibility lays on her shoulders. The four of them finally come together to fulfill the prophecy of the gods, also bringing their warrior husbands together in the process as well. I loved it and was there for the whole ride. I loved how each book took us to a completely different world that had an awesome twist on the historical aspect of it. This book focused on elements from the Roman Empire. Some things made me laugh, others made my eye twitch a little. With all that being said, I also have to mention that there were a couple of things that felt unfinished and which I think would’ve given Drucilla’s character, and also the story overall, a little more depth, like finding out why she was so against love and relationships in her life. Or like finding out how her parents were so accepting of what was happening to their daughters. It felt like there could’ve been a great backstory there. But I did love this book and the entire series, and I’m glad I gave it a chance even though this is not normally my kind of trope to read.

I stepped out of my normal romance tropes for this series. Let me tell you, I’m here for it! I was very excited to read about the different locations and time periods, in which the sisters appeared.
This one though, the relationship that built between the Emperor and Drucilla was very well written. They had very little in common, but they came together and it worked. It was hot! I loved the mysticism in this edition of the series too.

Hayley is such a great author. This series was so well written and enjoyable. It had my emotions all over the place.

Drucilla was on a beach in Florida wearing a bikini then all of a sudden she is in a mysterious world where the ocean is green, the sand is blue and the forest is orange, pink and purple. Tiberius the Emperor of Savona comes riding towards Drucilla and picks her up and ride away. Neither of them can understand each other but the feelings for each other are strong. There are obstacles in their relationship due to witches, gods, goddesses and dragons. The story has so much love, sexy and action.

The prophecy needs to be fulfilled and when the four sisters and husband get together and the ending is so good.

This series is such a good series and Hayley is such a good author I highly recommend it.

Well written book with wonderful world building, and plenty of steam and action as the last sister Drucilla gets her story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Prophecy of Sisters series concludes with the story of Drucilla, the youngest sister, and Tiberius of Savona.

Tiberius has recently become the Emperor of his land and after a visit from a missive belonging to Aaric, King of the Sea, he is made aware of a woman who will arrive as part of the prophecy, and wonders if the gods and goddesses would do this. When he comes across a beautiful young woman, dressed in a manner like he has never seen, hiding in the woods near his home, he brings her back to his domum, knowing exactly who she must be.

Drucilla frantically searches for her missing sisters and has been without any news for over a month, except for a conversation where her mother told her they were okay. She gave her details of a strange dream, which Drucilla did not believe. When she winds up in a land like none she has seen before, and while walking around and trying to discover where she is, a large warrior, wearing a helmet and riding a horse, picks her up and carries her to a stunning place. At this point Drucilla begins to wonder if her mother’s dream wasn’t so crazy after all, and maybe she will finally see her sisters.

Throughout Tiberius and Drucilla’s story there are many twists, turns and obstacles that attempt to prevent them from completing the prophecy. As with the previous books, this is full of fantasy and in such a way that you will feel completely immersed in the adventure taking place.

As a reader, it is almost impossible to put this book down once you start! Drucilla and Tiberius seem as though they could not be more opposite, yet they fit together in a way that is completely perfect. Having to trust one another, and fall in love, while battling the evil that attempts to stand in their way, leads to a deep and beautiful connection. Since this is the final book in the series, all of the couples are included as they need to work together to achieve the greatness the gods and goddesses have put into motion. The deep connection between the sisters, their men and one another is heartwarming and intense. This book was a phenomenal conclusion to this series and I will greatly miss these characters!

I'm so sad that this amazing series has come to an end , but like all good things it has to. What an adventure Hayley took us on, Drucilla and Tiberius love story didn't disappoint, full of angst, betrayal but not a willing betrayal damn you Decima 😡 . But it was so good to have the sisters and their husband's finally all together, I do hope Hayley writes more in this trope😍😍

Not my favourite out the series but still a good read. Lots of learning curves in this one. Great epilogue and I enjoyed the short story at the end.

I have loved this whole series and book 4 certainly did not disappoint. We get to see the final sister, Drucilla, find her match and see the prophecy come to fruition. I think Cilla was definitely my favourite sister- I just loved her sass and honesty. A fantastic read - highly recommend the whole
    series!
