Sometimes you just have to hold on to your dreams.
Gerald was birthed into the wrong family. This gentle giant has never wanted anything to do with their criminal enterprise or their drugs. After reconnecting with his chosen brother and escaping his old life’s grasp, he finally feels like he can breathe.
Of course, he’s never been lucky, so when he meets the man of his dreams, his biological family and all their crazy wind up back on his doorstep…or do they? Things aren’t always what they seem, and Gerald’s found family—including his new love—don’t have any intention of letting their newest member go without a fight.
As the last book in The In You Trilogy, all demons are laid to rest as the last man gets his happily ever after with the help of his found family and his forever love.

About the author

Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2022One finally being able to live the life he wants and the other realizing that what he wants is standing in front of him and didn't have breast. Gerald and Duncan found each other when they both least expected it. What was supposed to be a one and done turned into so much more. Duncan was first in denial of his feelings for Gerald and Gerald thinking he could go along with their initial agreement, soon went out the window when Gerald walked out the door and Duncan realized he'd made the biggest mistake of his life. Fate had different plans, a dead body, an arrest and an alibi along with a lot of patience on both parts along with friends brought them to where they needed to be and that's with each other. GREAT TRILOGY LOVED IT!!😍😍😍
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2020I've been waiting for this book for a while. When we first met Gerald in Trusting in You, I couldn't help but hope he'd make it out from under Bubba's thumb. And when he showed up all but and hurt but still sweet and shy, I wanted him to find his happily ever after.
I couldn't have picked a better guy for him than Duncan. I loved how they started as friends. I loved how Duncan stood up for Gerald and wasn't willing to walk away from him even though it put him in danger. I loved how sweet they were together and I loved how the whole gang was once again part of the story. I'm really sad to see the series end.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2022Well written story and well developed characters! Drug dealers and crime families that people are trying to get away from! All three of these books are so great!! Relatable and very real! Loved all of them!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2019“I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.” Gerald has done everything he can to escape his family and their bad influences. He finds the perfect man in Duncan but Duncan has some issues with being "out loud". Gerald is such a sweetheart, although a hulking one, he is willing to keep quiet about where he was and who he was with even though he could end up being charged with murder. Once Duncan finds out what Gerald is willing to do to protect him, there's just no stopping them. This book was really entertaining and the characters were brilliant.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2019I couldn’t wait for more Gerald. Right from the start I was routing for him. He’s been through so much it is was great to see him get his HEA. Duncan was perfect for him. They were so sweet to each other. Loved them and loved the book. I loved catching up with all the other characters from the other books in the series. Very Enjoyable Read, I recommend the whole series. Have a total soft spot for the Gentle Giant Gerald though!! ❤️

- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2019Oh my gosh was this ever a good book. I loved all the twists and turns it took. The characters were lovable and well developed. Hated for the book to end. I read an ARC of this book with no obligation for a review.

I give this book a solid 3 stars and know there are readers who will really enjoy this, especially if you’ve read the whole series. I read it as a stand-alone; reading the previous books isn’t necessary as the author does a good job of including necessary information from the previous books, but I personally think this book would read better having read the whole series.
What I liked:
-The characters! Gerald sounds seriously hot and he’s truly a gentle giant. He tends to rub his neck whenever he gets nervous, is thinking hard, etc. and I loved that quirk. Duncan sounds like a teacher I would have loved as a kid and I appreciate that he didn’t have a prolonged crisis questioning his sexuality. Once he gets serious with Gerald, he’s committed to the relationship. The flirting at the start of the book is really sweet and their relationship feels established soon after they meet. Not insta-love but a nice little build up to feeling like being together is the most natural thing in the world. Also there is little drama in their relationship. Most of the drama comes from the outside. I did want more scenes with just the two of them and not necessarily sexual.
-The side characters! They’re a fun group of friends and they definitely added to the story. You don’t have to read the previous books to understand their personalities and how they all relate; the author does a great job working in all those details.
-I love a good size difference and Gerald is seriously hot. My one complaint? I wanted more manhandling!
-The plot is not complex and easy to follow along and predict, but that’s not a complaint. I expected this book to be a casual light read and I think it was.
-I personally hate when things drag on in a book, but everything was resolved quickly and any miscommunication was cleared up quickly as well.
-I liked the overarching message of the story - we all have pasts, good and bad (and some worse than others). This is tied in well with the murder plot. I do wish there were some more clues as to the murderer. I’m not saying it’s impossible to figure out, but it felt a bit Hitchcock with the reveal coming out of nowhere. The explanation for why they did what they did is done well and made me feel a bit less frustrated.
What I didn’t like:
-The blurb. It’s like one of those movie trailers that tells you everything that’s going to happen, so there’s not much of a surprise.
-There’s a lot going on in this book and I had to pause a few times and make sure I was following along with everything. As a result there was not enough focus on just the two main characters.
-The plot itself was just not that interesting, at least not to me. I think a big reason for this is because of my complaints about the blurb. I want to be teased and then have fun watching the story unfold. It kind of felt like “this happened and then this”, like a checklist.
-And the reason this was a 3 star for me. The author writes well. No complaints there. I just found it hard to engage with various parts of the story and found myself skimming after about 40% into the book. I did finish it and didn’t dislike it overall, I just couldn’t make myself read every sentence. I would have DNF’ed if I had.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great series
Am writing this reviewing all three books. Sammi should be complemented on his first series. They are all well written and enjoyable to read. It's best to read them in order.
Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book
This was a great ending to the series (and I looking forward to the stories coming our way as per the afterword).
It was a great plot, with a twist I didn't see coming.
I really loved both Duncan and Gerald, the slow burn, the giving in and the aftermath. I loved the twists I didn't see coming.
I loved their group of friends, the banter, and the love shining through.
I really enjoyed it all, and I am really looking forward to what comes next from Sammi Cee

Well I have to say that I was very surprised by how the story line turned out in the end but I really enjoyed this trilogy of friends turned into found family
