Her daughter has been bullied in her High School so the decision was pretty easy. She was going to make her Dad's old house into a B&B. What a mess that house was! There is a crazy next door neighbor-a Mayor who does not want her to make it and a man who is really helpful. Her sister and her husband also helped! A lot of angst--a bit of romance and a very determined woman!! I have read many of Fiona Grace's novels and loved every one of them-this was no exception. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this new series!

    I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the author for not using puff pastry when the heroine was making French apple tart. Puff pastry has a time and a place, it tarts are not it and too many are ignorant of this fact

    The story was good even though it's been done before. The problem I had was there was no ending. Oh, I know everything will work out and there will be a happily ever after, but it makes me so angry that I have to buy another book to read about the happy ending or in this writer's case, the next 5 or 6 books because another character will pop up and we'll start their story. Sorry, not me. I refuse to pay for more books that most likely will mirror another plot line I've read before. Very disappointed.

Great characters including Miles and I admired Ariel's strong character and ability to challenge the mayor. Scenery so descriptive I could almost hear the harbor's waves roll in.     I enjoyed the books, but they are all slow, so much repeating every few pages. The worst is there are so many mistakes! One example book 7 Ariel is walking out the door on page 52, going to her car and her boots are crunching through her snow covered driveway...then on page 55 it says how she grabbed her coat and walked to her car with her boots crunching in the snow covered driveway. It's hard to focus when each book has so many writing errors. There's spelling, there's repeated sentences, there are many speaking of other people but saying she / her when speaking of Miles..which his name was misspelled Meils. But other characters as well.
