Eternally Damned: A Vampire Romance : Shallow Cove™ Dimensions (Eternally Series Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 6,367 ratings

121 years without hope has a soul become silent.

Salem, Massachusetts.

The home of magic. The hell of the damned.

The place where I rest until the end of time.

There is only one way for me to wake from my coma.

My beloved must find me and feed me her blood before I turn to ash.

It’s a rarity for a vampire to meet his blood mate.

I knew when the coma took me, I’d die.

In the dark.

Alone.

Until Maven Wildes buys my estate.

Her presence at the house wakes my spirit.

But not my mind.

I want her out of my home more than I want to breathe fresh air.

Unfortunately, the infuriating beautiful woman refuses to leave.

Yet… meeting me revives a lost magic in her veins.

And now breathing her in is all I want.

Our love creates power a warlock craves.

He’ll spill blood to have Maven, but I’ll drink his until his heart stops.

I will always protect my beloved with my entire being.

Even if it means spending my days in eternal night.

I'm in love!
Omg this book had me hooked with the first sentence. I read this book in 2 days. Bc I just couldn't put it down. I love how it moves quickly and sucks you in. The main characters have amazing chemistry. There were some grammatical errors but that's didn't take away from the story. I can't wait until Atreyu's story comes out. Oh! And the spice was amazing. And done just right. January Rayne just got another fan bc I will read everything she writes.

I really enjoyed this book and the take on vampires!

We start with a chase scene as Alexander is trying to get home. Away from the fighting of vampire hunters, their damn dogs, and his family/coven. The dogs being werewolves. Having being bitten by a werewolf it is poison in his system.

A toxin that's spreading and Alex's only chance of surviving is getting home to the coffins hidden below the estate. But he refuses to leave without knowing if his family survived. Especially his twin, Atreyu.

Luckily the two do meet up and though they have to fight through things. They make it to the estate in time. Hoping that their beloveds' will come in time. Vampires can only live for so long without a mate. And a beloved is quit rare.

Fast forward to present time. Our lovely Maven lives in Salem, Massachusetts. Ironically her last name is Wildes, a last name belonging to a witch from the famous witch trials. But surely it is just coincidence? Maven is not a witch, even if everyone in town believes she is.

Since she was ten years old Maven has fallen in love with the Monreaux Estate. She's been saving up since that age to buy her home. Because everytime she goes up to the iron gates leading to the house it just screams home.

The town of course sees it as an eye sore and hold an auction. Maven is right in the middle of it along with her best friend Dottie. Hoping to get the estate. Because something is also calling to her from within. Surely that is just nonsense, right?

With a close call and great family the estate is Maven's! Home! But when she comes into the estate she finds she isn't alone. A ghost doesn't want to leave. claiming the place is his.

Nothing will keep her out of her home. Even if this ghost tries convincing Maven he's not truly dead. But the "ghost" has amnesia and can't remember why or how he got here. Let alone this ghost like state. Yet there is a magnetic pull the two have for each other.

We get to see a new take on vampires and werewolves. As well as witches and warlocks. I really enjoyed the twists and the uniqueness! Maven's world is turned upside down the moment she steps into the estate. Secrets and things hidden come to light.

There is a happy ending but the author leaves openings for the next book in the series. Which I very much hope to read. I want to see Atreyu get a happy ending! There is some heartache in the book but this isn't an angsty read.

Enjoy this medium/slow burn and give the author some stars!

This was a fun read. It was fast paced and easy to follow. I can tell the plotline was just getting started with this book for the rest of the series. I will say that it was extra spicy, so keep that in mind when you pick this up to read. I enjoyed the characters and love how well the characters communicate emotionally.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great unique story

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️+ Only 4 because I've read other JR books, iykyk, but compared to other authors definitely would have been 5
    (+ bonus for 👻🌶️)

What girl doesn't dream about a vampire being real and knowing they were meant for fated eternal love?? Then finding out she's a witch and a powerful one!! Getting D downed so good time literally stops, for 2 days !! 😁
I skipped eternally hers due to a Facebook post about this book so now I'm going to read the first book!!!

I love January Rayne as an author and can only imagine how awesome of a person she would be as a friend. Her books are 🖤🤌🏼. I love dark romance and monster romance ( Honeysuckles got me hooked....OMG go read it NOW if you haven't 🥵) but lately I have been finding books filled with politically correct, boundaries, safe spaces, they/them, consent, and rude af FMCs...wtf? Not that those things are bad but there's a time and place for everything. It's fiction for a reason... monsters, magic, paranormal fun and fantasy. An escape from the drab boring real life we live day in and day out and this book was just that. It was full of fun, funny, beloved, fated, protective, loyal, and spicy characters!!

    THANK YOU!!

The prequel for me was a 5 star, so I went into this book with high expectations. It had so much potential and many points that I loved but just a few details I couldn’t get past knocking it back a few stars…

    *Spoiler Alert*
    .
    .
    .
    .
Starting with what I loved: the premise of the story was awesome, I’m usually not a fan of witches but this was the perfect balance of supernatural action and magic. This story really drew on my emotions with the sacrifices made out of love. Maven stayed true to her character even with the magical changes to herself which was refreshing. Dottie was the perfect loyal and protective BFF. Maven’s interactions with ghost Lex were on point and probably my favorite part of their relationship overall. I really enjoyed the relationship between Maven and her Pa - I just wanted to hug him for how much he loved her.

Here’s where it got squirrelly: For me, Lex’s personality didn’t quite align with how his father and brother described him prior to the attack so how he acted in perpetuity after the coma felt off. I also wasn’t a fan of Lex suddenly having modern speech and an immediate working knowledge/acceptance of modern technology after awakening 121 years in the future. His time hop lost it’s authenticity for me at that point. And while I could conceptually understand him having Vamp speed to complete tasks quicker, I wasn’t sold on his ability to gain all the needed supplies for a complete remodel of an entire manor house including specialized UV filtering windows while also suddenly having a working knowledge of modern electrical and plumbing all within a couple nighttime hours - just too far a stretch.

I don’t know how to describe it other than something felt off about this book. The pacing wasn’t consistent, especially in the middle and I found myself unable to concentrate and took lots of reading breaks midway through. Then the climactic face off at the end felt too short and the whirlwind of new people’s arrival felt greatly rushed. We are left with too many questions like what is Dottie? Will Atreyu awaken? What ever became of Maven’s mother, is she alive and does she know of the family being witches? How did Brenden come into possession of the grimoire page if it’s only visible to Maven’s family line and can he read it? Does Maven have issues with childbirth like Lex’s mom did? Does Lex’s dad become more present after his grandkids are born? Does he know how much his absence is hurting Lex? Why is Rarity different/special? How long do familiars live? How are Luca and Greyson still alive if they are unmated? I thought they only lasted 200 years that way; wouldn’t they have already past even before the night of the attack? Their stories feel unfinished like they’ve just begun and I want to learn all about these new coven members who were dropped on us at the end. I hope we get answers in the next book, looking forward to jumping into that one right away!

I saw some mention this was really spicy, I would actually consider this a slow to medium burn spice level. The first couple spice scenes don’t start until the mid way point and read awkwardly, it wasn’t until closer to the end that I really enjoyed them.

Oh my, I'm speechless! This was such a beautiful written story by January. I'll admit it's not my usual genre, monster, vampire stuff, by with January, I love what she writes! I've read a few of her monster books, and I've really enjoyed them, and this was no exception! I'm invested, and I'll definitely get the next instalment to read!
