About the Author

Liam Price grew up in the English countryside with a deep love for literature, especially talking books and radio plays. Excellent first book in this series
I’m so hooked! I am so excited about what’s to come . The thing I loved most was the family . The love shared by all was something we all hope to have. This book has so much in it. It’s a coven of Vampires and that’s different . The werewolves are awful . It concentrates on this family and the Children and Uncles. Then all hell breaks loose and we’re left with a fantastic and heartbreaking Cliffhanger . Everyone will get their HEA but right now life and their coven are forever changed. This book sets us up perfectly for what’s to come . It’s so well written and I loved every delicious word! A must read … enjoy 🖤❣️🖤

    I didn't have any expectations coming into this novella, but it was done really well! Usually, novellas I read are either not long enough to my liking or not interesting enough to care for the characters. This was done well because I loved the characters and the fact that I had an inkling of what was going to happen but still broke my heart at the end.

    Ok so I think the most important thing to know about this book is that it is a prequel and a novella. I didn't realize that going in and when the biggest part of the action started happening I looked down and saw I was almost through the book and got very concerned. If you would have asked me when I was starting this story if I liked it I would have said 'no, there isn't enough detail' but once I realized that this is just a prequel, it made more sense why the author wasn't spending as much time going into detail in certain parts.
    I really enjoyed the world building and the slight variations that January Rayne made to vampire lore as we usually know it. I also never thought someone could make me hate werewolves but in this story I did. It is low spice but well done where it is. Even though I am a hater of cliffhangers, this one was done correctly and I can't find anything bad to say about it. Overall the thing that will make me want to continue the Shallow Cove series is how much I felt connected to all the characters. I genuinely want to know what happens with Severide and Rarity and hope that everything is going to work out for the twins.

    I have never DNF a book, but I came so close to it with this book. The only reason why I kept reading is because I can’t physically not finish a book. I just have to finish if I start. But it was a struggle. The writing is awful, it was like reading a fan fiction off the internet, and not even a good one.
