Evermore (When Rivals Play Book 2.5) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,050 ratings

Grab your dancing shoes and put on your prettiest dress. It's prom season in Blackwood Keep and forever can't wait any longer!

Four Archer was the toughest girl around. Just ask anyone. She’s the street racing daredevil who brought the King of Brynwood Academy to his knees. But watching her boyfriend fawn over his childhood playmate—even though it was just an act—would be her toughest challenge yet. When jealousy rears its ugly head, Four questions if she can handle playing the sideline.

Ever McNamara has the world at his fingertips, but not even a private jet and a seven-figure trust fund can get him out of this rock and a hard place. When a childhood pact puts their fairytale in peril, Ever must risk it all to keep her.

It is strongly advised that you read The Peer and the Puppet and The Moth and the Flame before diving in. However, this bonus novella is not a required reading to continue the series. Content suitable for 18+.

Evermore was initially written for the Read Me Romance podcast and offered as an audiobook for fans of The Peer and the Puppet and its main characters, Four and Ever. It is an optional reading that is not required to continue the When Rivals Play series. This novella was written purely for your light-hearted enjoyment and as a tease for the next novel in the series, The Punk and the Plaything.

“You’ve seen the lengths I went to drive you away. How far do you think I’m willing to go to keep you?”

Welcome back to Blackwood Keep this is the perfect transitional story while we wait impatiently for The Punk and The Plaything. You can never have too much of Four and Ever. You can feel their connection through the pages. Their chemistry is palpable and burns white hot. This story shows us once again how much these two characters are meant to be. They balance each other and you can feel how much they love each other.

I loved everything about this Novella, you most definitely need to read this before The Punk and The Plaything comes out. This story gives those of us who were giving serious side eye to Bebe regarding her ending of The Peer and The Puppet some closure. And makes all our FourEver hearts happy. They continue to be one of my favorite couples of Bebe and I can't wait to see how this series continues on.

“For nothing and no one in the world would I ever let myself lose you. That’s when knew I was done.”

I love B.B. Reid’s When Rivals Play series; the world she constructs and the characters she develops all add to the angsty feel of Blackwood Keep and more importantly, Brynwood Academy.

It’s clear that money talks and secrets reign in this town but despite the transformative power each one seems to have, those involved still have a choice and even though it’s inundated with obstacles and plagued with a slew of second guessing, the only way the heroes and heroines of this series prove themselves is by stepping up when it matters most, even if the backlash from those actions complicate things even more.

While Evermore focuses only on a single event in Four and Ever’s life, it’s a pivotal one, and while most would agree that a Prom is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, what it means for Four and Ever, in terms of their relationship, makes it a monumental affair - one that will either allow Four to clearly see beneath Ever’s public facade and the childhood pact he made or confirm what has always been in the back of her mind…that Ever was never truly hers, no matter how much she wanted him to be.

I could stay with these characters forever, so I get why some readers felt this novella was too short, but its purpose was definitely achieved in the short number of pages. And the best part of is that after reading Evermore, I’m even more excited for Jamie and Barbie’s story, especially given the fact that these two rile each other up and use their words as weapons. I can’t wait to see how/when Barbie brings Jamie to his knees.

There is never enough Four and Ever! This quick read will give you your fix as we wait impatiently for more of this captivating series!

Going to prom is a right of passage, but what’s the point if you can’t go with the man you love. Four would rather skip it if she is forced to sit back and watch Ever go with Barbie.

Hiding their love is becoming more of a challenge. Not being able to love out loud is taking it’s toll. Ever is going to have to choose between love or obligation.

This continues to be an all time favorite series for me. Each new book sheds light on their story and their beautiful, all-consuming love continues to grow. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Loved the first two books. Like all the characters, Jaime and Wren being my favorites. This was too short even for a novella. And it didn't really answer any questions, but added more and ended in a cliff hanger.

    ***4 Stars***

    FINALLY!!

Well, kinda sorta since it will be a true finally situation when The Punk and The Plaything drops, but it’s the beginning and to say it took long enough is an understatement. This little novella shows us once again why Four and Ever are not only good people ~ despite what some believe ~ but so good for each other. And I can’t help but admit that as much as I do love “The Punk” I’m crossing my toes that he does get a little comeuppance…

And back to Blackwood Keep we go! This is not a stand alone, you must read The Peer and the Puppet and the Moth and the Flame prior to this otherwise you will be confused. I LOVED this novella. It was one of my most anticipated reads once Bebe announced it. Four and Ever are one of my favorite book couples and this was what I needed to hold me over until The Punk and The Plaything where we find out what’s going to happen with Jamie and Barbette! This novella shows us exactly how far Ever is willing to go to keep Four and it is everything! Of course it left me with more questions, but I’ll just have to wait until the next book. Well done and thank you for putting this into ebook format!!!

This lovely novella gives us a little more of Four and Ever, and makes you love them even more (if that is even possible). It's a quick read and leaves you wanting more, but it fits perfectly in the When Rivals Play world. Not one you want to miss!

I was captured from the first page of peer and puppet by four and Ever that has not changed only increased with the release of moth and the flame whitch followed Lou and wren. This is a lovely gate way book while we await the punk and the play thing which is Jamie and barbie. This book looks in on all our favourite characters but ends up giving answers to some questions but also giving you more to think about and find out in the next book. Really can't wait !! More Four and Ever hell yes! I was so happy that B.B Reid wrote Evermore, allowing fans to delve into these much loved characters lives again.

This bonus novella takes us to prom preparations for the characters in this series, and with it brings out challenges and insecurities as Four has to still act as the non-girlfriend, whilst Ever keeps up the pretence of Barbette’s boyfriend to protect her secret.

The banter between the characters continued to make me laugh. I loved how Lou and Jamie stoked the subject of what Ever, Barbie and Four were hiding from them. Issues were still at play for Ever and Barbie with Four stuck in the middle, so angst was on scene and backed with heat. The omg Ever will you just man up kept screaming from me lol, but bless B.B Reid for that end scene.

As in The Peer the the Puppet I could feel the intensity of Ever’s love for Four and this quote relayed it so sweetly - “I’m a fallen man, Archer. I hope you’re proud of yourself.”

Evermore left me wanting more before I even got to the cliffhanger. I mean the questions I have and ugh the desperation seeping out of wanting to delve into The Punk and the Plaything, like don’t play with me I need it now!

The addiction for this series is REAL Lol!

B.B Reid' s book is the one which changed my opinion on YA. Her books made me to rethink and to like YA. After Finishing The Month and flame, I was waiting for this. I tried pushing this as I wanted to read this just before the release of "Punk and the plaything", however I couldn't hold it anymore.

This is a short novel in continuation of Rival's play series. I adored Ever and Four. We get to see a glimpse of Tyra and Vaughn, but I thinks it's prelude to Jamie and Barbie's story.

Pace is good along with angst and steamy hot scene. Enjoyable read if you like Ever , Four, Lou, Wren, Jamie , Tyra and Vaughn.
