From the Author

The problem is, I'm not a naturally organized person. I like making lists and plans, but sticking to them is tougher. And I've never found a planner or organizational system that I could follow for longer than two weeks at a go. That is until I heard of bullet journaling.

But journaling requires a journal -- a notebook of some sort. And I couldn't find any that I liked. Either the pages were too narrow and felt cramped, or the thing didn't fit even in my oversized purse. Or the fancy, hardcover binding made it heavy to lug around. Or there weren't enough pages to last more than a few weeks. Or the lines were too dark, or too widely spaced.

Never quite what I wanted.

So I decided to make my own.

I started with dot-grid pages for flexible layouts and for doodling. I scattered some of my favorite math and education quotations through each book. And then I added several of my most flexible geometric coloring pages (loosely based on Islamic tessellation designs).

And I had so much fun I couldn't stop with just one. I hope you enjoy my
Dot Grid Notebook with Coloring Pages series!

I have many blank books, planners, journals and Midori journals, but this one has now become my go-to book. The size is perfect - enough room to record everything but small and light enough to slip into a purse. I was concerned that the soft cover might not hold up, but I've been toting it around for a month now and there is no visible wear. The paper is a good weight. I have used Uniball, Micron and Sharpie pens inside and the shadowing to the back of the page is minimal. The dot grids are fabulous for making layouts as well as just keeping your writing neat. There are coloring pages sprinkled throughout, which I don't use, but they act as nice dividers. The quotes are well chosen and it you like designing planning pages, you can incorporate them into your layout. I liked it so much I ordered a second one as a commonplace book.

This is a great little notebook for doodlers. If you like creating geometric designs, you'll love these dot grids, just right for whatever your imagination comes up with. These can also be helpful for organizing math problems. I was sent a free copy for review.
