I chose 5 stars because I think the authors did a fantastic job of wrapping the stories of the 4 main characters up, but also keeping true to and including the original 4 from the trilogy before this.
I enjoyed the action as well as the moral ups and downs the characters had to contend with because it is true to some of what we go through ourselves today. Especially loved the skip forward so had clear closure too.

Recommend this book and all 5 before it in the series!!

This series has surprised me in the best way. I still am not a lover of cliffhangers, of which there are plenty; however the series is unique. It is thought provoking in the most entertaining way - and you always want to know what happens next. The Thaw Chronicles underscores what it means to be good. It’s easy to love the heroines and heroes, who are more than relatable. Especially the strong women who permeate every book. Addictive!

Just when I think I've read my favorite book in this series I have to keep taking it back. Tamar and Heidi take this series to yet another whole new level. This book has everything: action, adventure, adversaries, drama, romance, plus scenes that will blow you away and keep you on the edge of your seat. There's tragedy and loss with equal amounts of love and life. It's so good. It's really, really good.

I've now read 8 books and I'm still hooked. So far this series has kept me on the edge of my seat through all 8 books. I just can't put it down. You must read these books! They are awesome!

It is all getting a little to repetitious and predictable. The same stories being told just in a new generation.

This really was a great series packed with plenty of action, a little sappy love, and the predictable happy ending. Every series has its slow parts or chapters that are disappointing, but this was a good read. I’d recommend it!

I truly love this series and hate that I have to wait for six months for another dose. This was a very satisfying conclusion to the next generation of characters of their universe. I did find that the pace was slower than previous books until about halfway, but it did allow me to become familiar again with all of them. A great series. Read them all!

Nice continuation of the story. A few different twists along the way.looking forward to the next one. It promises to be good.

Expose provides a satisfying end to the Beyond the Thaw storyline and nicely ties this generation’s tale. Askala and the Newlands are saved, romances continued and we even get a sneak peek of the next generation. Everything a reader could ask for!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable but....

I struggled with the blatant stupidity of the askalans they have already had to fight once yet they never trained the people so they could defend themselves resulting in needless deaths , it also felt very samey pretty much mirroring the 1st 5 books not sure I will read the next ones
