Where it all started.

At 15, I wrote my first rocker romance novel starring a fictionalized version of myself, my friends, and our gorgeous rocker boyfriends. When I went to college, it got buried in boxes in my parent's storage unit.

But, I must have manifested my own destiny. After living my own rock star life as a band manager, music promoter, and mover and shaker in Seattle during the early 1990s, I used my street smarts to become a digital media legal strategist helping bring movies, television, and music online.

Throughout my busy career, I lost myself in romance novels across all genres. When I dug my old book out of storage, my husband and original girlfriends inspired me to embark upon my dream to be a published author.

The Less Than Zero Rock Star Romance Series is my debut in the world of rocker romances.

* Rockstar Romance * Fake Relationship(s) * Hidden Relationship * Slow Burn / Long Distance Audiobook Review: Narrated by Richard Sawyer and Rose Dioro 4.5 stars for story 5 stars for performance Every time I think I've found a favorite in the series, along comes the next book and I'm proved wrong. Every one of these audiobooks is as good as the last and that is saying a lot because a lot of times, the series lose steam as they go. That is not the case with this one. It is very important to read these books in order as they overlap significantly and the experience has so much more depth if you know all the players and timelines before coming into this one. I am so glad we get a deep dive into Ronni. Her character is so strong and such a fighter and everything we've read/listened to in the previous books has been justified and I'm so glad she gets her closure. Connor is officially my favorite band member. The way he loves Ronni is totally swoon worthy and when these two do come together they are explosive. If you have the opportunity, I highly, highly recommend this series on audio. This book in particular was elevated primarily due to the magic that is Richard Sawyer. The way he can fluctuate seamlessly between different accents had me pausing to appreciate his talent. He is new to me and will definitely be listening to more of him in the near future. Rose Dioro is not new to me and I am always so happy to find her as one of the narrators in a book I'm going to listen to. She always brings so much emotion to her performance and it's always appreciated.

    I am struggling to decide which book is my favorite so far in this series. They are all so good!

    This book was highly anticipated in our little RS community and for good reason. This story was heartbreaking in the best way. I loved Connor and Ronni, and felt for both of them.

    Will I keep on with this series? Heck yes. Do I recommend them? Oh yeah. You need to read these books.

    So I was considering reading something else before I picked up this next book in the series but then I read that teaser for chapter 1 at the end of book 2 and after the last line, I knew I had to pick this up immediately. I really enjoyed Connor and Ronni’s story. It was a lot different that what I was thinking. They had a bigger/longer history than what I was thinking. Ronni’s whole backstory was heartbreaking (and Connor didn’t have an easy childhood/ early adult life either.) I do think I would have lasted in their relationship- and some of the circumstances / concessions made were a bit of a stretch but overall I really enjoyed their story.

    Wow, just wow! I didn’t think this series could get any better but Ronnie and Connors story proved me wrong. I’m sure a good portion of the story is true regarding Hollywood and filming… How sad is that. I love how patient, Loving, and supportive Connor is. If we could only clone him. Ronnie’s life has been like a roller coaster and she proved even though damaged you can make a difference. This I would give 10 out of 10 stars if possible. Can’t wait to see what’s up for Zane.

    The 10 years that pass through each of these books is the most incredible way to tell the story. Each book gives you the same 10 years from the individual band members perspective. This one is a bit different based on the character Conner is but you’ll love it just the same. I’m begging you Kaylene…don’t make us wait too long for the next.

    Connor meets Ronni and all bets are off. Connor and Robin have a relationship that is so hidden that no one knows. Connor has slot of baggage in her past that she is trying to get past and Connor is trying to help, without her knowledge. This is a complex story with strong characters but drags at times. If you like a good love story you'll love there's.

    Fearless is book 3 in the Less than Zero series. I do believe it can be read as a standalone and honestly it may actually be better that way as I read it right after reading the first two and I found it to be a little redundant, and also a little confusing in terms of the way the book is written in terms of timing.

    Ronni/Mae is an actress who has had a difficult time in the industry and is now working on a revenge plan. Connor is part of the famous Less than Zero band and happens to meet Ronni one day at a concert, but doesn't really know that she is an actress. They end up having a long-term secret relationship that spans time and travel and both of their jobs, but is muddied with secrets and Ronni's plan and her past.

    I did really like both Connor and Ronni as the main characters for the most part and I really liked them together. There was definitely no lack of chemistry in their realtionship. While I admired Ronni's goals, I generally am not a fan of plots where there are secrets or games. I love angsty stories when they are done right, but I struggle at times when the angst is brought on by two people who cannot handle situations correctly, or who just get in their own way and at times I felt like that might have been the case with the execution here. It was also difficult because there was a good amount of the book that I could skim because they were things that happened in the first two books but were relayed again in this book just from a different viewpoint, but it didn't necessarily often add anything to the story. I did generally like the characters and am happy that they got their HEA, it just seemed to take forever for them to get there.
