Finding His Shooting Star (Suburban Outcasts Book 3) Kindle Edition

BOOKER

You know those existential crisis moments? The ones where you want to reach out, but aren’t sure that you’ll be able to hold on when you grasp? It was like that. I was like that. Trying to keep it all together and focus on the way our futures were changing without running away like my life was a fun house mirror attraction.

Then I heard her voice and I knew. She is mine.

But a voice on a video that doesn’t show a damn thing is not a great lead.

I’ve got to find her and then hope that she’s ready for me.

ANNA

I never wanted to be noticed. I never wanted the limelight. I never even wanted much excitement from my life. All I really want is for people to stick around. That isn’t too much to ask, right?

When my friend records and posts a video of me singing, I really thought I would be able to keep my head down and continue to live my life as I had been. The video didn’t show me anyway, just the dark café that I manage. I figured I was safe.

I had three days of denial and then Booker comes bulldozing his way into my life. He says that he fell for my voice the moment he heard it. Stuff like that doesn’t happen to me, but I can’t deny the honesty in his eyes.

Now, I guess all I can do is hold on and hope that the demons and fears from our pasts can yield to our future. Who doesn’t want a hot rock star chasing after them?

**18+. If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you. This story is safe, no cheating, guaranteed HEA. It is a standalone and the third in the Suburban Outcasts series, but it would be more enjoyable if you’re caught up with this Denver family. Warning: This story does contain casual cannabis use, but not to worry, they live in a legalized state and are responsible members of society.**

Ember Davis loves alpha heroes with a range of emotions, but a strong sense of how to take care of their women. She loves her heroines from all walks of life, just like her heroes, and she wants them to be real and relatable. Her heroines tend to be sassy, opinionated and smart.

Ember is a stay at home mom of two who recently refound her love of books and all things romance and is so glad that she did. She’s always been creative, but writing and creating stories that she would love to read satisfies the dreams she had as a little girl. She loves butterflies, the color purple and enjoying time with her family.

Pssst…it’s totally a pen name, but everything above is 100% true.

Book 3 in the Suburban Outcasts series gives us Booker and Anna’s story and it did not disappoint. From the start to the end their journey was so swoon worthy. I loved how they discovered each other to the up and down of having an alpha male love you. Another sweet, steamy and heartfelt romance read from an author who gives its readers a romance story worth reading.

This family continues to be a source of joy for me. I felt all the emotions in this book. I could feel their pain and their happiness. If anyone deserves to have a happily ever after, it’s definitely Booker and Anna! I’m looking forward to the last member of the band getting his happily ever after as well!

I enjoyed reading about the intense feelings in this relationship. The trials, the emotional drama and the unexpected passion. The chemistry between the H and h is undeniable and unexpected. The  misunderstandings lead to a bit of  wasted time. Connecting with the characters may come easy in this story, following the plot might not be

Every time I read one of these books I feel like I need a band tee to wear! Booker and Anna are adorable together and their meet cute is so sweet I almost got a toothache. Then there’s the music! The soundtrack for this book speaks to my inner high school student as I mentally sang along with all the awesome alternative rock :)

This story is kind of ho-hum. No excitement, nothing out of the ordinary, just average. The story didn't hold my attention the way the first two books did, so I'm kind of disappointed. Booker is the lead guitarist for Suburban Outcasts (SO), so he's an artist and is big in the music industry. Anna can sing, but doesn't want any part of being in the industry for herself, but I must say, she is proud of Booker's accomplishments. So why should this be a problem? Booker makes the music, Anna makes the coffee (which, btw, she loves doing). This book author made it into a problem when Booker asked Anna to sing with him in studio, just for fun. Big deal. It goes off the rail from there, she leaves him, goes back to her apartment for a miserable night. Miserable night for him too. So how does he get her back? Taking his guitar (and THE FAMILY) to the cafe to play her a song! All is forgiven! I love a HEA, but this one was kind of blah.😣 On another note, the missed editing errors were very irritating. It messes with the flow when words are out of place, extra words thrown in, etc. Also irritating was that 29% of the book went by before Booker and Anna actually met. Too much back story - an in-depth review of the first two books are not needed to enjoy the current book. On a positive note, we finally make it to Banks Art., and sort of meet Olivia the artist. Maybe we'll find out more in Book 4 with Gavin, the drummer for SO, and Iris. Looking forward to this one. Still love your books Ember!

Different than other Suburban Outcasts and Banks Inks books in that for once the heroine is not in danger from psycho. But since the hero is Booker, you know there will be laughter, music, drama, etc., as he finds his woman. I enjoyed and recommend this book and the other Banks Inc, Suburban Outcasts, and Higgin Security Books.

This series plus Banks Ink and HS have me bing reading. I have become obsessed with everyone and have no clue what I will do once I have read them all. I will probably pout a lot. All the series are a must read but I am so glad Booker finally got his HEA. Must read

Nothing like a sweet and sexy rockstar instalove romance by Ember Davis!! It’s got all the feels! Anna is a sweet coffee barista and Booker is the hot and sexy rockstar who’s instantly smitten with her. They make such perfect harmony together once they fight through their fears. Love this wonderful HEA!
