The story is inventive and well crafted. The characters are relatable and turning the pages to see what happens next comes easy. My only issue, the ending seemed a little rushed. However, it didn't take enough away from the rest of the novel.

This was a pretty good book, but not as good as some of Hudson's earlier ones. I think Hudson's death has affected her ability to write, lol - seriously, I don't know if someone finished this book or wrote it from scratch. The book was generally an interesting page-turner, but one had to really suspend reality to believe much of it...it was just a bit too unreal, and some questions never got answered. I recommend that you buy and read Eva Hudson's "Skyberg" books in order - and you'll see that the first few are the best.

Ingrid Skyberg is a complex character. She is an THO agent stationed in London and has an undercover identity as a Russian art broker which allows her access to the Russian oligarchs who reside in London. She becomes involved in an investigation to stop hacking into the American presidential election.

Nice plot with a surprise ending.

The London setting added to the unique style.
Had not encountered this main caracter previously. Will look for other books about her.

Ingrid is one tough woman with a heart. A good combination which is sometimes hard to contain. But she keeps the readers engaged, it is hard to put down. The whole series should not be missed.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series, and would give all five previous books a 5 star rating. I felt a little "cheated" by this one. It replayed a scene, almost verbatim, (only a couple of words changed) from book 5, Below Zero. There was no mention of the scene being a "memory", only a different type of coffee she was drinking when found in a cafe by Nick Angelis, head of Fortnum Security. What was the point? It was not even integral to book 6, Final Offer. Maybe stretching the print length as the encounter was several pages? Only that portion of the book was a complete disappointment, the rest was a nice read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good read

    Really enjoyed this book.
Seemed a bit long winded at first up until about 50% as it felt like it dragged and wasn't written by the usual author but then it kicked in and I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to finish either.
Some new and different characters introduced and a few small twists and surprises.
I was expecting some answers from previous book when Ingrid was in Sweden but nothing really mentioned.
A few things I felt were left unsaid or finished in this book and people just disappeared with no further mention, which just felt a bit odd.
Looking forward for the next book to be released in 2021.

Would have been better if author hadn't kept slipping British expressions into American's dialogue but overall above average for the pricr.

5.0 out of 5 stars Final offer is the the best yet
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 29, 2020
I really enjoyed Final Offer the best Ingrid Skyberg novel for me to date. The undercover role added another dimension to her character and the story swing in different directions I was enthralled. I wanted Ingrid to find romance and she seems to get close but never catch her man.
Am so looking forward to the next instalment.
