About the author

Elizabeth Bailey grew up in Africa with unconventional parents, where she loved reading and drama. On returning to England, she developed her career in acting, theatre directing and finally writing.
Elizabeth's latest venture is The Lady Fan Mystery series, published by Sapere Books. The novels feature amateur sleuth Lady Ottilia Fanshawe and a cast of family members including her husband and champion Lord Francis Fanshawe. She originally published Regency romances with Harlequin Mills & Boon and has many titles in her Brides by Chance Regency Adventures series, now also published by Sapere, as well as standalone Regency and Georgian romances.
Elizabeth also writes edgy women's fiction: Her dual time novel Fly The Wild Echoes, which deals with past lives, and For One More Tomorrow, where the ghost of the real Macbeth returns, protesting his villainous portrayal by Shakespeare. And she has published a romantic suspense novella, Silence of a Stranger.
Elizabeth lives in Sussex, England. She is still an inveterate reader with eclectic tastes and she spends her spare time helping other writers improve their craft.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2015With For One More Tomorrow, Elizabeth Bailey effectively proves her ability to take a well-known story and give it an unexpected twist. Instead of trying to rewrite Shakespeare’s Macbeth, she tells the story of a troubled production. As if arrogant actors, personality disputes, the constant threat of a curse, and a director who has a difficult time communicating with her actors isn’t trouble enough, this particular production also has to deal with the fact it’s being haunted by none other than Macbeth himself, and he’s not at all happy about the way Shakespeare handled his tale.
Not only has Ms. Bailey created a unique story, she has also filled the pages with interesting characters who have interesting backstory’s and a complicated tangle of personal problems. I found the main character, Sadie, to be fascinating and was surprised by how organic her relationship with the ghostly Macbeth becomes.
Although there are times when the sub-story felt a bit slow, overall I quite enjoyed For One More Tomorrow and always looked forward to every opportunity to lose myself in its pages.
I think For One More Tomorrow is a story that will be enjoyed by everyone who is looking for an interesting ghost story and romance. It’s a fantastic read.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2020I don’t write reviews that often but I am compelled this time. This was not a casual romantic romp. The characters are deep and complex and brought to life in a way that I felt I knew them. I found myself analyzing their motivations and completely unable to stop reading. There were so many twists, just as in real life, certainly nothing predictable. I’m American so there were times I had to read over something again to grasp the point but this was really a thought provoking book for me. It’s not a fast, easy read but a lovely romance and well, well worth the read.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2019A very original plot with a paranormal theme. Made believable by the authors eloquent words- I could really sense the characters and be drawn in to their story. Ms. Bailey is one of my favorite authors, my being a big fan of her Regency books. This is the 2nd of her present-day stories I have read and I was not disappointed. From the perspective of story-telling this may be the best yet. I am shocked at so few reviews, this is a book well worth reading. Bravo Ms. Bailey!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Ghost Story
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, much to the disgust of my son who had to cope with my lessened attention while I was engrossed in the book :) An interesting story line which is very different, and great characters. More please!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Clever New Take on Macbeth
A very clever premise with an excellent narrative arc. Liz Bailey is primarily a writer of romance novels, and in this book she has done an excellent job of combining romance style with a psychological thriller that draws on historical research.

4.0 out of 5 stars today or tomorrow?
Very unusual book. Elizabeth Bailey plays on our senses of what is passed and what is now. She invites us to question where we are and who we are. Like some of her others, I was bound to read on to find out what the resolution would be. Fantastic story.
