This is my first book that I read by this author and I enjoyed it very much. From friends to lovers, Charlie and Liam both deal with life as college students and their new feelings towards one another. Plenty of ups and downs, but also love and some steam. Charlie had a tough life growing up. Her mother abandoned her while her father was sick. Losing her father added more pain and the one person who was always there for her was Liam. Now, older he is still there for her when a breakup goes horribly wrong and she needs a place to stay. Feelings develop quickly and she is afraid to take the plunge in fear of being abandoned again. Liam has always been there for Charlie when life knocked her down. When she breaks up with her boyfriend, he jumps in and helps…by kissing her. That kiss was everything, but he tells himself it can't happen again. When her apartment floods he offers her a place to stay. However, he has to now fight his feelings for Charlie and doesn't know how long he can resist. Charlie and Liam's story was very heart-warming. Best friends for years that never saw each other as more until one kiss. Neither realized what was missing in their life until it all clicked. I loved their story and it drew me in from the beginning. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, which is about Charlie's friend Layla. Rating: 4.5/5🌟 Steam: 1.5/3🔥

    Wow,wow,wow! Charlie's personality was the cutest I've ever seen in a book ever! I loved this so much! Liam is literally every girls dream. I couldn't put this down. Definitely recommend this one if you're into young romance. I was able to immerse myself into their story because I'm their age. And I can resonate with their struggles and challenges. The only thing I would change or wish was different is that this was the story for the other two books. Their story could have continued and become a real game changer. They could have had a story about Liam being at college and the challenge of being so far apart while he was away. And then Liam graduated and he comes home, while Charlie gets a reputation at the hospital and is up for a big Promotion but it's in a different state. So she goes and Liam realizes he can't not have her in his life so he goes to find her and propose to her so on and so forth. But this story is definitely one of my new favorites!

    This was a short hot read. I love how these two finally realized they were just what the other needed to be hole at the same time unexpectedly. They were like two peas in a pod! I was also surprised that there insecurities sapped for a bit there and it was Liam who struggled more than Charlie. I was a tad disappointed at the end because the epilogue isn't right in the book because I wanted to read about how they turned out but hate giving out my info so my email can be flooded with more junk. So, while this was a good read I wasn't overwhelmed with joy at the end.

    I enjoyed this wonderful ‘friends to lovers’ romance novel, the story swept me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and like too. Liam and Charlie became each other’s best friend when they were young and their friendship has lasted thru the years. Liam has watched Charlie date different men and as soon as it becomes too serious or the guy wants to take the relationship to the next level, she ends the relationship. And that is what she planned on doing with her latest boyfriend, Andrew, except it doesn’t go exactly like that. Charlie always does her breakups in the bar where Liam works, so if she needs rescue or support, he is there for her. Liam is used to her doing this, but it is different this time, hearing another guy is going to propose to her stirs up feeling in him and even more so when he sees how upset she is. So he takes the rest of his shift off and plans to take her back home to his family’s home. Charlie realizes her feelings for Liam had morphed into something else too, but both have plans, he is going to vet school and she has plans of her own that will take her out of the country for months. I loved the layers to the story and how it all played out, the writing and plotting are fantastic and so is the world building and character growth and development. There is never a dull moment in this book and it has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Nicole Blanchard, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Allie Martina and Gideon Frost are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Allie Martina nailed it as Charlie, grasping all sides of her personality, and Gideon Frost did the same for Liam. Both were fabulous performing the roles of all the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

    I liked listening to this book, made all the more enjoyable by the excellent narration of Allie Martina and Gideon Frost they really brought the characters to life. The story is about Charlotte aka Charlie and Liam who have been friends since their childhoods, they are both now in college and still friends. But when Charlie broke up with her boyfriend who then retaliated by flooding her apartment Liam did something which would upset the status quo.

    Liam invited Charlie to move in with him while her apartment is being repaired. For years Liam has watched from the sidelines as Charlie ended every relationship before it could become serious, he's attracted to her but has never told her not realising that she's equally attracted to him. Charlie didn't tell him as she assumed she’d been friend zoned because Liam didn’t do relationships. But sharing a living space has gotten to him and a month after she moved him he kissed her and she kisses him back so they decide to see where things go as a couple.

    Liam has applied to an out-of-state college whilst Charlie plans on staying in FL. When Charlie finds out that Liam has been accepted on the day after she turned down a volunteer position because she didn’t want to leave him they argue and Charlie Leaves.

    So he too leaves and goes to his parent's house where his relationship with his father makes things difficult. A few weeks later his grandma dies and he decides to take attend a college in FL to be closer to Charlie and his home.

    Overall the story was good but Charlie and Liam need to learn to talk about their feelings and be honest with each other

    Best Friends to Lovers isn’t really common in my tbr but I do love reading this trope
    Just, how much the other person knows you, and the battle inside, when you don’t want to ruin the friendship when you go to far with more. And when both want each other but don’t know they want the other, it’s fun to see how one just says f it and goes for it

    Liam really struggled and then he just did what he did, and it was so freaking hot, imagine the mirror scene in Bridgeton but more spice 🙊

    What the ex did, enraged me so much but it resulted in her moving in with him and then all bets were off

    The bonus scene was sweet but I expected more, cause it was just two pages. But it did finish of with things being great and both her mom and his dad so..

    Great book and I can’t wait to dig in into the next

    Charlie and Liam have been best friends forever in till Charlie breaks up with her latest mistake and Liam annoyed at the way her ex was talking to her kisses her. Both are worried it's gonna destroy their friendship,neither can take their eyes off the other, then Charlie has to move in with Liam and all bets are off. Throw in an ill Gran, rowing with family , a mother returned and futures on hold this is a great story . Heartstrings are definitely pulled , the supporting cast is great and I can't wait to read their stories too.
