    The caravan is finally headed towards the Great Forest. However, they keep encountering obstacles. They get held up in Centaur City. They make a detour to the Dead City. And, after Druid's Keep, they are almost trapped in Fae'el. Along the way, they acquire new allies and add to the population of both animals and elves. (Mr. Quillen is ecstatic.) The worst news that they receive is that King Oughtred wants to see them all dead.
    Austin has such an adept hand when it comes to this series. I've never heard of half of the animals he describes (and I have read a lot of mythology and fantasy.) I don't know how I will entertain myself until the next book comes out. (Wait! Maybe I'll start over.) This series is without equal.

    I've read all three books in the series back to back. Such a great, fun series. Very interesting and likeable main characters in the caravan. Very good world building. The villains are evil; their motives are not as well defined at this point, so looking forward to understanding more about them. I hope there will be many more books in this series. This is a new author for me so I will look for some of his other books.
