The future cannot be predicted, but it can be imagined. Paradises lost and found; utopias and dystopias rediscovered, rebuilt or programmed: the possibilities are infinite. This collection draws from the first five volumes of Julian M. Miles' Visions of the Future anthologies to bring you a selection of possible tomorrows, from imminent to far future, set nearby or in distant places, where humanity continues to strive for something more than what they have.Using the flash fiction format, originally attributed to Hemingway and know as a medium for visceral storytelling in a minimum of words, interspersed with short fiction pieces, this collection will take you on many journeys of intrigue and adventure.OpenDyslexic is a new open sourced font created to increase readability for readers with dyslexia. The typeface includes regular, bold, italic, and bold-italic styles. Letters have heavy weighted bottoms to indicate direction, along with other features, like wider letter spacing and a unique italic style. Consistently weighted bottoms can also help reinforce the line of text. The unique shapes of each letter can help prevent confusion through flipping and swapping. Julian grew up in Sussex, UK. A broken home in his early teens took him off the ‘straight and narrow’, and he’s never gone back. In the subsequent four decades he’s worked at levels from loading bay to boardroom, and picked up a few stories along the way.

His first loves were science fantasy and magic; the blending of ancient and futuristic. He started writing at school, extended into writing role-playing game scenarios, and thence into bardic storytelling.

In 2011 he published his first books, and in 2012 he published more (along with releasing the smallest complete role-playing system in the world). Since then, he’s published over 30 new books, along with a dozen omnibus collections. He has no intention of stopping, and would be delighted if you'd care to join him for a tale or two.
