Let's start by saying this book is everything I want and need in a dark romance book. Every time I read a new book by C. Lymari, I say "This is her best book yet" well Falcon's Prey is her "best book yet". She delivered a masterpiece and this book it's absolute perfection. This book is deliciously sexy, dark, steamy, intense and full of surprises that keep me at the edge of my sit with no nails to bite. (literally) I had the pleasure to Beta read this book. Funny story I received this book in two parts. The first night Claudia send me this book I though "I'll read a chapter or two and go to sleep". Well that didn't happened. I stood until 2:00am reading it, I couldn't stop. I devoured this book , Ember and Ren took me through a roller coaster of emotions and I felt in love with these characters. The chemistry between them was incredible, two broken souls trying to survive in a world where power is everything. When I got part two of the book, I was like WOW!!! WHY DIDN'T CLAUDIA WRITE DARK ROMANCE BEFORE?. The second part was more intense than the first one and I LOVED everything about it. I love Ember so so much , she is my CHICA. To the rest of the world she shows she is a spoiled rich brat but deep inside she is so much more. She carries so much guilt but has an amazing heart. Ren is such a mysterious, alpha male that comes into Ember's life with a mission that he is determine to follow through. So in conclusion this book is A MUST READ! This book is so much more than 5 stars to me .

    I am going to be honest. A few months back when I was on a C.Lymari binge I came across this story. The title, cover, and description scared me. I love the dark but I just didn't think I was ready for them, not yet. Now, I took that leap, I was still afraid of what this story would evoke in me and how it would play out. I can say with 1000% certainty that I am in love.

    This story is beautifully tragic, dark, steamy, real, and a story of so much strength, faith, and courage. I am crying as I rightthist because this story hit me right in the heart. Perfectly written, the emotions, the journey, the pain, trauma, need, need for love and just all of it made their story, her, so powerful and emotional. I couldn't be more proud.

    Ember is a beautiful diamond who doesn't break. A woman with who has gone through so so much in life and still manages to push through although sometimes it feels like there's no other way out. She is looking for that one thing that has led her through this tough path. To get to that light, there are demons that need be faced and battles that need to be fought.

    Ren is force to be reckoned with. He does not bow down to anyone and doesn't have mercy. He is lethal, rough, hot, and resilient. He is hiding something, and he needs the bitchy princess in order to fulfill his mission.

    These two have worked their magic and won me over in a matter of minutes. I understand that this kind of story is not for everyone, but if you give it a chance it will change your mind. It's a story with shocking twists, steamy romance, and painful truths.

    Im pretty picky with spicy romance books because alot of times the leads are really corny and have cheesy interactions or theres too much sex and theres no plot. This book was GOLD. The characters are believable and the there was a nice build up of sexual tension before the sex scenes. Also the plot didn’t derail or become less important. 5/5 stars, please never stop writing!!

    Falcon's Prey is a dark romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Cat Baroco and Javi Wilder.

    This is the fifth book of Claudia's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I am a little torn on this book, because I wasn't pulled in by the characters like I usually am with Claudia's books. I enjoyed getting Ember, Ren, Marcus, and Michael's points of view throughout the book.

    Cat and Javi did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

    I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense.

    This was my first time reading a book by Lymari and I really enjoyed the characters and story line. Ren is definetly and alphahole, with a protective streak a mile wide...even though he doesn't care for his charge at first. Ember is definetly fiesty, sassy and back broken. On the outside she is superficial and puts on a show for the world, but deep down she is struggling and trying to do what is right.
    This story is action pact and filled with angst. It is dark and contains violence, so read at your own risk.
    But, if you like to walk on the dark side give this book a try.

It isn't exactly easy to keep track of Ember when she has a tendency to lose her bodyguards. Ember is set in the ways in which she copes with her life and no one will change her habits, but she's never met a man like Ren.

    There is angst, heartache, push and pull. Lots of push and pull. Ember has never known love, only pain. Ren inflicts pain. They are two sides of the same sword and don't even know it yet. But there are things about Ember and her life that Ren doesn't know yet. Her life isn't exactly in her hands to give away. The story between these two and the events they endure is absolutely beautiful - raw, emotional, painful.

    C.Lymari let her psycho show with her first dark romance and I am here for it!

    The story of Ember and Ren, an extremely slow burn between a diamond heiress and her bodyguard, with twists and turns you will never see coming. This love story is dark and gritty, not for the faint hearted. When I say read the author note before you go in, please do. If you get triggered easily then this isn’t the book for you.

    C Lymari’s writing was flawless in Falcon’s Prey and had me feeling some type of way. I didn’t know whether I was coming or going, whether I needed a moment alone or whether I wanted to hurl my kindle out of the window.

    If you love dark, mind boggling reads that pull you in and leave a mark then Falcon’s Prey is the book for you.

    Take a deep breath and be prepared. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

    Ember as a character felt pretty realistic to me! I admired how strong she was and could relate to her feeling neglected. Ren gave me “touch her, and I’ll end you”-vibes, and I love that he is so moody.
    But their tender moments were also so good! And don’t get me started on the spicy scenes.
