Falling for Jordan: An Older Woman Younger Man Surprise Baby Romance (A Different Kind of Love Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 331 ratings

After a crazy year that began with her business partner's contentious divorce, Filipino-American doctor Addison Rowe decides one night to let it all go—that is, have a one-night stand with a younger man.

A year later, she finds herself with a baby whose father has been AWOL since that night... which is totally fine since she told everyone she got pregnant via a sperm donor.

Okay, she lied, but with a reputation to uphold, it's a story Addison's going to stick to.

But when Jordan O'Halloran shows up at her clinic a year after building schools overseas, the last thing Addison wants is to lie (again).

They just have to get their story straight in front of Addison's very old-fashioned Filipina mother and Jordan's ex-girlfriend who hasn't quite accepted that he's moved on without her.

Falling for Jordan is the second book in A Different Kind of Love series that began with Everything She Ever Wanted (Dax and Harlow). It can be read on its own but is best appreciated when read in order. Falling for Jordan features a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Jordan, Jordan Jordan..... you are a book boyfriend from which all others should take notes. You're sweet, caring, uncomplicated and straight forward with your emotions. This world needs to clone men like yourself!

I felt a connection to Addison, a woman who is groomed from birth to be perfect and in control. But you know the saying.... Man plans, and God laughs. I love how her character grows through this book because of the love of a really good, kind man....

And the food. Wow. A cookbook would be a nice web addition ;)

I am thoroughly looking forward to the spin-off book coming this fall about Jordan's best friend.

Falling for Jordan by Liz Durano is a short, charming and somewhat captivating sweet romance.
The main protagonists are Addy and Jordan and their one night stand and the result of that one night stand which is baby Piper.
Throw in untruths, Family dynamics, Filipino culture, a proud mamma, and an interfering ex, and all the angst and doubts when two people wish to get together - and there is your story.
    Light reading.

The only thing I disliked was the cover model.... he's supposed to be a ginger!
Honestly, this author developed the characters very well, and giving them time and space like in real life. 👍🏼👍🏼

A quick read with fairly low drama. Well, no, there was a lot of drama, but it was low angst. Absolutely not a fan of the ex. And as someone who works in healthcare, I was appalled by what she did. But back to the couple at hand. I liked them both, and each of their families, though her mom was a bit much for me, as well. I liked the writing and would definitely read more of this series.

I enjoyed this book! I liked the diversity (Filipino and Irish families) and the fact that the two main characters were both very sweet & good people. The incident involving the crazed girlfriend was pretty over the top, but at least the way things got resolved made sense. I would recommend this book.

An older woman in love with a younger man. A must read - no harsh language or excessive PDA. A baby that completes this younger guys aspirations and hope.

"A romance in reverse." The story starts out with a semi-anonymous hookup, an unexpected pregnancy (and baby) and then a love story. This standalone novel is a spin-off of one of Ms. Durano's other stories and is a fun and enjoyable afternoon read. As with all of her work, she writes strong female leads who are not afraid to take charge. These women are not wilting flowers or melting snowflakes! There is also a bit of role reversal in her characters as the females are often doctors/professionals and the male leads may be tradesmen or even artists. One of the most endearing parts of Ms. Durano's style is her use of realistic ethnic and family dynamics. (powerful Filipino grandmother, loud Irish cousins, etc.) These elements add a delightful realism to each of her novels.

Falling for Jordan is an enjoyable sequel to Everything She Ever Wanted, broadening the storyline and introducing new characters. Families are complex, academic achievement is not the only measure of success and timing is important in so many things - especially matters of the heart.

Ok, my favourite OW YM genre. First I Loved how the story started. Talented ending of the previous book which flows into this book. Second this is a very sweet couple. Met both families which was great. Third it's such a good love story without excessive swearing. It was great how this writer brought Dax and Harlow (previous book) back into the story.

I pick up this book, because of the Asian older woman and a younger man story. I like the fact that Addison try to find Jordan as soon as she know she is pregnant. Not the usual few years later, that usually happens with accident pregnancy romance or keeping it secret from the father. There's quite a supporting cast of characters that are funny and loyal.
This is going on my list of Asian character with multicultural/interracial. I would definitely recommend this book.
