One minute you are happy and smiling while reading her book, then moments later you are crying like a baby!!! The twist and turns, the never knowing what's going to happen next, and then the surprises hit.

    GRAB A BOX OF TISSUE!!
Marisa Oldham is the Queen of tearing your heart out and making you cry your eyes out!!
I wasn't expecting to become so emotionally drained after reading this book but I really was.
The way Marisa wrote about loss and the pain of that loss was straight on.
My heart was breaking and tears flowed from my eyes.
Everything that was written in this book was so real and matched my own feelings in that situation.
Once again Marisa you did a wonderful job.

First of all, this is not a stand alone! You need to read Ms. Oldham's The Falling of Love, The Falling of Grace, The Falling of Hope, Learning to Breathe and Falling in Paris, in that order, before you read this novella. Don't be overwhelmed, they are all fantastic reads, leading up to this new novella series.

I am so grateful for this "After We Fell" novella series. I have said time and again that I am just not ready to say goodbye to Ian and Grace, or Missy and Jaden.

Somehow I had forgotten how much Ms. Oldham loves to torture her readers (or her characters, depending on how you want to look at it.) She is the queen of the emotional rollercoaster! At several points in this brief story I wanted to, and at at least point actually did, scream and curse. Wtf moments do eventually explain themselves, but it is quite a ride. Have the tissues, wine and punching bag nearby.

I am trying hard not to hit on the actual plot because I abhor spoilers and I feel anything I could say has the potential to be a spoiler, especially if you missed the first After We Fell book (which is probably the sweetest and least angsty thing in her catalog, which is not to say that there isn't plenty of angst....)

The last line in this edition is a huge cliffy that has me all kinds of anxious to know more about. In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to avoid this book based on that, but fair warning (of course, if you have read the rest of the series, which, again, you really need to before this, you know that she writes cliffies with great flare.)

One other note, I rated in Guitars, because anything in the Falling world will always be rockstar romance for me. However, it is barely mentioned in this book. Though it is undeniably who Ian is, if you are wanting pure rockstar romance, the emphasis here is much more about their marriage than his career.

Marissa, once again, you floor me. This series never loses its edge, and always leaves me wanting more.

ONCE AGAIN.... this author manages to twist something in an unexpected way and makes you remember that stories like this one, that reflect things that happen in real life, can stir something in you; a reaction, a memory, something you can relate to in your own relationships, and again...that you're not alone during the biggest difficulties in life. Love, love, loveeeeee that I can always count on this. Such real stories that make you feel the characters' lives!!!

It has taken me awhile to write this review because the subject hit too close to home and I needed to process my feelings.

This is a beautifully written book. This book just tugs at your heart. This book will make you feel.

Marisa Oldham is one writer who I will 1-click without reading the synopsis because she is so talented.

This book kept me on my toes the entire time. It had suspense, action, twists and turns you never see coming. This book is like visiting home with family you haven’t seen for a while….. it’s amazing to catch up with Grace, Ian, Missy and Jayden.
This book had so many OMG moments that at one stage I said…. Oh No, don’t you dare go there. Luckily my sanity was saved along with my most favourite book characters. This series is one of my top reads and is always on a rotation to re-read so to be able to “catch up” with grace and Ian to see what has been happening in their life.
In this book Grace faces some challenging life decisions and also some of the most heartbreaking events that would truly shatter a person let alone a couple, it broke my heart to follow them in this journey but along with breaking my heart this amazing author also has the ability to mend it back together perfectly.
    5 stars!!!

The suspense with this book left me on the edge of my seat. This was a true Marisa Oldham story. She made me fall in love, ripped my heart out then put it back together. This continuation of the Falling Series has been fantastic.
