4.1 out of 5 stars 41 ratings

Last summer, they fell for each other at the carnival...a year later, can love survive autumn’s chill?

Taylor takes life too seriously. He lives for his little sister, Danica, who despite her poor health still manages to remind him to smile. Secretly, he longs for adventure, but he could never leave his family and his small town. When the local fair brings a taste of fun, Taylor finds he can’t help but go back for more.

Dane doesn’t have a home. He follows the carnival wherever it goes, running the rides, traveling from town to town. He’s been a drifter ever since he was kicked out of his house for being gay. But this year, this town, something is different. There’s someone from his past that might just give him a good reason to stay.

Cozy up to love in
Falling for Him, this 60,000 word autumnal delight from Riley Knight.

This book is a standalone gay romance intended for adult audiences.

Riley Knight is an avid reader and has always had a soft spot for gay romances. What could be better than a sweet story between two beautiful men who need each other? It only seemed logical for Riley to write these steamy, emotional romances, focusing on an emotional and happy ending.

When not reading or writing, Riley can be found wandering the landscape and loves to go for long walks and observe all sorts of people and situations.

Another great story from Riley. This is Taylor and Dane's story. Dane travels with a Carnival as an operator and when he turns up in town he meets Taylor who is attending the fair with his sister who is ill and when she wants to ride the Ferris wheel Taylor allows it even though he is worry about her. This starts the romance between Taylor and Dane which is a romantic one at that.

These men, Dane and Taylor, are so good together.
This is the kind of "love at first meeting book" that I love. It's not to fast or to unbelievable ittjust fits. And even if it's not the right time for them when they first meet there's still that invisible connection that doesn't go away and brings them back together.

I fell extra hard for Dane, he's thinks he's this jaded man who people doesn't like and who doesn't deserve love. He's so coloured by his past that he doesn't see that almost everyone that meets him loves him and that he cares deeply about others.
And Taylor just comes alive when he falls for Dane and he learns that the world is much bigger than he expected. He had me frustrated a couple of times with keeping things to himself and not being honest, but who didn't make a few mistakes when being so young.

I recommend this book if you're looking for a sweet but hot love story with a little angst and a HEA.

This is Bittersweet in its best form. It's beautiful and painful but oh so full of joy and of course miscommunications and love. It's a hard book to put down and so enjoyable. I recommend this book highly.

Falling For Him is a stand alone M/M romance by Riley Knight. This was a sweet, sexy story.

Taylor Lachlan had dreams of going to college after high school. But a very sick little sister put his life on hold. He continues to live at home doing what he can to help their single mother with bills and caring for her. A trip taking his sister to his small town carnival changed his life.

Dane Galloway was forced to leave home due to his sexual preferences. So for years he has worked for a traveling carnival, moving constantly from town to town. When he first saw Taylor with his little sister, he was instantly drawn to him. He didn’t understand it. He’d never felt anything like that before. But it was obvious that Taylor was innocent and accepted his friendship in any way Taylor was comfortable. Only Taylor had other ideas.

One year later and the carnival is back in town. These two never forgot each other. Their bond had grown strong in those few days. Could Taylor be the one that finally convinces Dane that he can make a home in this small town? That he could be accepted, have a life there?

Neither Taylor or Dane had any experience in relationships and neither felt worthy of the other. Their communication skills definitely weren’t good. As both of them are trying to find their way as a couple, they are also trying to figure out what they want out of life, what their personal dreams are.

This is a sweet story of finding love when you least expect it, but also of finding your way in life, both together and personally. It’s a story of love, family and acceptance. The epilogue wrapped everything up wonderfully.

The odds are certainly against Dane and Taylor building a relationship on a chance meeting at the fair followed by an amazingly passionate tryst. Will their age difference be a stumbling block for them finding common ground?
Riley Knight has concocted a delightful love story, a story of first love, a story of pretty much first everything. I was immediately drawn into Dane and Taylor's romance, rooting for them to make a go of it.
"Falling for Him" is a quick read with a happily ever after ending.
I read an advanced reader copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.

What a beautiful and special story. Dane and Taylor clicked the first night they met but nothing was set in stone as Dane was leaving at the end of the week with his moving carnival. There's some miscommunication along the way but Taylor and Dane are just so perfect for each other and so good together. I loved Rebecca and Danica and Taylor's family has been through a lot especially his little sister but Dane completes their family. A really interesting and storyline that keeps you entertained throughout the whole story. "I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book."

An enjoyable bittersweet romance. Engaging characters, who needed to work on their communication skills, and a great storyline made this a very good read.

I found myself with my face aching slightly, from smiling so much as I read this beautiful story of two men who met, felt that marvelous instant attraction that some of us are blessed to experience. The story of how their lives changed as they found their way into making a life together is truly inspiring.
