    This is the story of two brothers from Brazil who's father sent them to their mother because his new wife didn't want the ready family, but their mother doesn't want them because they remind her of the man who left her for someone else. So from early on Zander has protected his younger brother Matty. When their aunt & uncle let them use their basement for the band they have started with their 2 cousins, they finally have hope. And they get signed to a record deal.
    But when the record label changes the style on their first single and it doesn't do well, they look for help to market the band. That is when Lydia comes in. She uncovers all the horrid things that they have gone thru growing up when their mother contacts them for money. When they refuse, she starts releasing videos of their youth. This story talks about the neglect they received from both parents as well as the physical abuse that they took while their mother looked the other way to the blackmail she is trying to cash in our their supposed success.
    This book has times when you want to cry along with the characters and some when you want to scream at the mother. But it also shows how these 2 young men overcome all of it. Great story, great characters, just a great book.

    Falling North is so good. I really enjoyed this one. Xander is an amazing brother and all around good guy. He always puts his brother Matty first no matter what the situation is. I love how this rocker romance just flows and evolves. Lydia is sweet and I love how she handles her job. There is such a pull between Xander and Lydia from the beginning that it is only a matter of time before everything explodes. Xander and Lydia are perfect together and I love how Matty takes it all in stride. All I can say is I cannot wait for more of the Save Me series and to see which band is featured next.

    After Limelight and Rising West I thought this is it. That Alyson Santos reached her top. I was wrong. Falling North is everything you'd expect from a rockstar romance. Everything and even more.

    Xander Silva is the kind of rocker character we all love. He's passionate, he's talented, he's gorgeous and... has a dark past. Check. Check. Check. Check. His brother may be the frontman, the face, the voice of Falling Back North but it's Xander to writes the lyrics and keep the band together. He's the soul of the band and the shield. He'd to anything to keep Matty save, anything. Brothers forever. Falling Back North seems to have everything they need to be a big success. But they need help. ANd here comes Lydia Carmichael.

    Lydia's life is all about success. She doesn't approve any less from herself. It's go big or go home for her. She's the professionalist so any affairs with the clients are off limits. Until she met Xander before he turned out to be her next client and it may be harder than ever to ingore the magnitude between them. When a person from Xander's past comes back to ruin him and Matty, Lydia will be there to help. Not for the marketing but also to save Xander from himself.

    Everytime I read Alyson's books, I feel inspired. You can feel her passion for music and also a deep understanding of troubled people who survived a lot. I can guarantee you one thing though - she'll make you cry like a baby. This book is just... wow! I can't wait for the next book in the series. Truner Artist Rocker is just pure gold.

    Somehow this managed to sit on my Kindle for far too long after it's release day purchase. I have no idea or reason why that happened - I know I am always going to feel, and love, all the words from Ms. Santos. Xander and Matty certainly don't disappoint.

    While I love NSB (and Limelight and Haunted Melody and....) I am excited about the direction the author is taking with her Turner Artist series, and hope we have much more than East and South yet to explore.

    Falling North is slightly reminiscent of Limelight, in all the best ways. The tie-in might just come to light somewhere between these pages, so Jesse lovers don't hesitate for a second to jump in, but this can absolutely be read as a standalone as well. Whatever your ABC background may be, don't give any more thought and set your one click finger free. No bad can come from losing yourself in any of her books, and this one has a little extra samba for your soul dance.

    I fell in love with Alyson Santos's writing when I read my first book by her: Rising West. It was a no-brainer that I'd be back for more where that came from. And once again - the writing completely swept me off my feet. I don't know what it is about her writing style - but it sucks me in immediately and keeps me compulsively turning pages - heart, soul, and brain all fully engaged.

    I loved this story!

    I love the concept of this series - they're interconnected but solidly stand alone. Each story seems fresh and unique.

    The chemistry between Xander and Lydia sparked immediately - I loved their banter and their sassy, sexy meet-cute. I didn't always connect with Xander's choices (honestly, he left me feeling exasperated sometimes) but I adored his loyalty and the enormity of his love for his brother Matty and how that left him tortured, bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders and how that impacted his choices and the consequences of those choices. I think I might have liked to have seen a little more of that ferocity of emotion extended toward Lydia. There were times I didn't connect as much with their situations. But then their storyline would swoop and twist and suddenly there I was, breathless and starry eyed over their sweet, desperate connection.

    Falling North is a rockstar romance that reads more like a family drama. That is - it's not necessarily a typical rockstar romance. The family dynamic seemed to take the spotlight - which isn't a complaint. I loved that there are no cliches here. There is a fair amount of angst, and some tear-filled moments. But in the end I could not be more happy with the way the story played out. Well worth the ride!

    This is book 2 in the Turner Artist series and it was another cracking read! Xander and Matty haven't had the best start in life, but they have always had each other and the strength of their bond is clear, when things finally start looking up for them they hit a couple of stumbling blocks.

    What I love about these Rock Star books is the strength of the characters. Xander is a protector, always putting others first, even to the detriment of himself. I love his loyalty and his kindness, despite his hard start in life. Matty portrays himself as the cocky front man, but there is so much more depth to him, and it grows throughout the story.

    Lydia is the light that both are attracted to. Feisty, smart and strong she helps them fight their battles and they all come out stronger for it.

    I loved the cameo from Jesse, I felt the connection was so real and believable.
