About the author

Marisa Oldham is an Amazon bestselling author of the popular The Falling Series - The Falling of Love, The Falling of Grace, and The Falling of Hope. A passionate writer with immense depth, Marisa published a highly emotional spinoff of the series, Learning to Breathe, that connected her readers with her by sharing her personal experiences in a fictional manner. In a short story collection, After We Fell, that follows Learning to Breathe, Marisa continued to dive into the trials and tribulations of her characters’ lives with Falling in Paris, Falling Apart, and Falling Forever. Marisa has also contributed to anthologies and has many works in progress.
Marisa lives in a small town in Tennessee with her sister Carraine and her adorable Yorkshire Terrier mix, Winnie. Outside of writing, Marisa enjoys photography, travel, reality TV, horror movies, and crafting. One of Marisa’s favorite aspects of being a writer is connecting with her readers. - Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI don't think I will ever get enough of Jade....er....Ian and Grace. Or Jaden. I have been begging for this since I read the last page of the beta version of The Falling of Hope, and I am thrilled with this beginning short. I will, of course be looking forward to more.
This is definitely not a stand alone....start with The Falling of Love and continue through Learning to Breathe before you pick this up, but it is filled with ahhh's, squeeeee's, a few wtf's and an oh yeah baby! Quite a lot to squeeze into a few short pages, but fans will be thrilled and even more excited for the next After We Fell update.
Bonus peek into another upcoming book by the author, which will go to the top of my TBR as soon as the option is available. It appears it will be quite a bit different from the author's other works, but definitely something to look forward to as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI couldn't imagine what Grace went through after getting the call from Ian's band manager that she received in Christmas day. This couple had been throat lot that would break most people. I'm just glad Grace has her sister and best friend Jaden to be with her through it all.
I absolutely love Marisa's stories they all pack a lot of emotions and events that are real and relatable. I would recommend them all, even the ones that I have yet to read because I'm currently devouring them all very quickly.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseLoved this Christmas short! (though it could easily be read any time if year.) Aptly placed in the "After We Fell" series (since you should read the Falling Series and Learning to Breathe first) it brings back some much beloved characters and takes you through the an emotional tug of war. There were some amazing twists and a surprise ending that any Falling Series fan won't want to miss reading! And what's better than the sound of Christmas in Paris?! So glad I got my hands on this one and EXTREMELY excited there will be more!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI am a huge fan of Marisa Oldham and was really happy that she continued the story of the lives of Grace and Ian plus Missy and Jaden.
This book start after a few years The Falling Series. We get to see where these characters are and what has become of them.
This was a feel good short story. I enjoyed that Marisa brought them back to "life".
Thank you Marisa for bringing my favorite people back!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI was beyond excited when I heard there was an addition to the wonderful stories of Grace, Ian, Michelle, and Jaden. I was so sad when I was left with nothing else to read that kept me up to date on my favorite characters. Marisa once again brought them back into my life. She drew me in with a new story full of so many emotions. I will read this short along with all of her other books many times in my life. I can't wait for more stories to be introduced into my life.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt took me until today to find the time to read the follow-up to Grace and Ian's story. Since I have read this entire series of books the characters have seemed to become a part of my family life. Marisa never disappoints with her writing skills...she makes the characters relatable and people you wish you knew in real life. I love this continuation and can't wait to read more!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grace’s worst fears are confirmed when she receives a call from ...
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseFollowing up with the characters of The Falling Series, Grace finds herself in Paris, just before Christmas, while Ian is on tour with the band.
The ending of the book leaves you wanting more of Grace and Ian can’t wait to read the next book.
Grace finds out due to storms Ian won’t be able to make it home for Christmas and it will be their first Christmas apart. With Michelle, Jayden and Micah arriving Michelle assures her sister that is there is any way that Ian can get back to her he will.
Grace’s worst fears are confirmed when she receives a call from the Band’s manager, who say Ian is missing, he hired a car and was going to get a flight to Paris, the police found the car but no sign of Ian. After calling the polis she learns the same as the band manager told her, until they call later and must call off the search until the next morning.
Only with the support of her sister and Jayden does Michelle think she will make it through the nightmare of not knowing what will happen with Ian.
