When two customers happen to sit next to each other at a diner, one of the owners sees a possibility of romance blossoming between the couple. A few subtle comments are made while getting their order, and Fremont is actually glad as the firefighter is really taken with Kiera. This is not his normal reaction to a woman, as his past history has made him wary when it comes to dating someone. When he lets growing feelings dictate his actions, Fremont and Kiera might end up enjoying the upcoming holiday instead of being alone.
This story was a delight from start to finish, and I found FIERY FRANKFURTERS to be not only entertaining but also realistic. Fremont and Kiera had gone to the diner to eat lunch on their break, but they both received much more than just food during their visit. A genuine connection is made during their first meeting, and what happens next is believably depicted with honest emotions and convincing reactions. I could really tell how each of these characters felt about a particular situation, and this caused me to care about how this story in the Daily Specials series would ultimately conclude. First time reading Autumn Knight, and I will be on the lookout for more of her books.
