Whoa. I'm just blown away right now. I had no idea Corinne Michaels had new ways of absolutely shattering my battle-weary heart and putting me back together, but then, here we are. I'm just a riot of emotions, and have been since finishing Fight For Me. Twelve hours later and still can't put into words how magnificently crafted this beautiful second chance love story truly is. Declan and Sydney absolutely decimated me. I bawled and got angry at times, but I also laughed, got giddy and swooned so hard. Yes, I hurt, but I also healed right along with Sydney & Declan. Theirs is a love that cannot be denied and it's absolutely beautiful. ❤ "My path is clear— it’s always the one that leads to you."

    I liked this book. Just a few things bugged me. Like how long it took Sydney to tell Declan that she was pregnant! I was frustrated at how long that was drawn out! They are Borge perfect for each other in every way but Declan holds back so much throughout most of the book that you want to shake him to make him get his head out of his rear end!!! All together I really did love this story and how they are all intertwining with the rest in this series and how people from her previous books make small appearances in this book.

    Declan and Sydney have been in love their whole life. Sydney was always there for him growing up and his brothers after their mom passed. Declan was there for her when her father abandoned her. After a horrific night with his father, he breaks her heart and leaves to protect her. 8 years later, he's home to do his 6-month stay in Sugarloaf, and he has to be around Sydney. They have a moment, and Sydney ends up pregnant. So you know the secret of why the boys left the town behind and Sydney so the whole book was a back and forth conversation between Sydney begging for Declan to stay and start a life and gik just saying he loved her but No. Sydney is such a strong chick, so it kinda hurt to watch her give in to him with him physically, and he would crush her after. Such a back and forth. The ending was good kinda knew it had to be something big to push through his stubbornness possibly. I just felt like it was very clear they could be together and couldn't wrap my head around. Why didn't they just get together. I'm excited to read devney and sean.

    Declan the eldest of the Arrowood brothers was in love with Sydney Hastings when he was ten and at sixteen they made 'forever promises'. But at twenty two he suddenly left Sugarloaf and Sydney for New York and vowed that he would not return. But why? And what did this mean for Sydney and their relationship.

    Now, eight years later, on the death of his father Declan is forced to return to Sugarloaf and live on the family's farm for his allotted six months . Because his father has stipulated in his WILL that if they don't, they will all lose their inheritance. But why?

    And being in Sugarloaf means Declan cannot avoid Sydney and being near each other rakes up feelings which have laid dormant for eight years.
