It can be read as a stand alone and it is not necessary to have read Wreck You, however reading Wreck You first may give you some background to Daws. This book is intended for mature audiences as it has graphic scenes involving sex and child abuse. The use of the F bomb is frequently thrown around so if that offends you, I wouldn't recommend reading this.

    OMG.....this story was beyond amazing for me! Now, the first book in this series, I read quite some time ago and if I am being honest it was just ok. Daws was a character in the first book that I honestly was conflicted about so with that being said I held off on reading his story and I have too say that I am glad that I did. If I had read it immediately after the first book, I may not have given it the full attention that it so deserved. So, I had a lot of time in between the first book and this book and can I say that this book was above and beyond what I expected.....it was PERFECT, it was BEAUTIFUL, it was HEARTBREAKING and yet it was so FULL of so much LOVE, Patience, Understanding, Compassion, yeah, you get where I am coming from, lololol!!!!

    I loved, adored, cherished, worshipped BOTH Daws and Aubrey!!!!!! These 2 characters were everything and more that I love and look for in my book leads and I can't begin to describe how much I connected with and invested in both of these characters.

    Their story played out perfectly, it was flawless, seamless, it was one of the most beautiful slow-build-ups of a relationship and I hung on every word, every sentence, I felt ALL of their emotions. I couldn't have asked for more of my lead H and h, they were THAT spectacular for me!!!!!

    Aubrey's backstory is brutal, I mean my heart hurt so much for this amazing strong girl. She was just.....arghhhhh, total girl-crush for her!!!!!! Daws.......oh my, he was PERFECT in every way and on every level. There was NOTHING I would have changed about either one of them throughout this story.

    The writing was fantastic, the characters including the secondary characters were spot-on perfect!!!!!!!

    Congrats Author Abby McCarthy, this story was nothing short of a GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!     This was a good book that dealt with some very emotional issues. The h had a very devastating childhood but remained strong for her foster sister. The H was a member of a mc club and immediately on meeting h wanted to get to know and protect. There was little angst between the main characters but with this storyline there didn't need to be,they had enough to overcome. Hope Vino and Ari get a book soon. This was the second in the series but a good stand-alone. I didn't read the first and had no problems with understanding the story. This book isn't for everyone because of her past but it is well worth reading.

    Wreck You was a huge 5-star read for me so I was SO excited when Fight You went on sale! I was not disappointed with this second book at all. I love this author's attention to details and how when her heroine feels something, I can too.
    Daws was one sexy badass biker...with a reputation for being blunt, crude and having had so many turn against him for what he did in the first book, it was so wonderful to see him redeem himself and become the man to "save" the battered and abused Aubrey and her sister Ari.
    I like the mafia/biker mix and although we didn't get too much "club business" in this book (more love story and family drama), it was exciting to read and kept me on the edge of my seat.
    I wonder if we will get little sister (who is 15 at the end of this) Ari's story in a future book?
    Warning though...the abuse against Aubrey is graphic and horrific and made me want to cry...so go in knowing that this story is not always pretty but the end result was worth it.

    This story deserves 5 stars regardless of some minor editing errors. The child abuse and rape was hard to read although not deeply explicit. This is a story of courage, strength, and overcoming your demon. Aubriella is on the run from her foster father, a true monster hiding behind his power. After living on the streets, she finds a guardian angel who helps her eventually sending her to safety where she meets Dawson. This story has it all; mafia, an MC club, violence, facing your fears but above all love! Finding your place within family by love instead of blood. I loved it, and I hope this series continues!

    Another good MC book. Full of alpha male and scared female. Nice to see a female with a backbone but accompanied by an alpha male who still wants to protect her.

    Story felt honest and true to me and characters were all well written. Even the secondary characters fit well with the storyline and complemented the main characters.

    What an amazing book! I picked it up not sure how I would feel about it, because I never read a MC novel before and lately I've been focusing on a completely different genre. I LOVED it from the first page and couldn't put it down! I connected to the characters right away. The first sex scene took me completely by surprise (I knew there'll be sex but didn't realize the intensity with which it is portrayed).
    This is the author's second book. I haven't yet read her first one - Wreck You - but read raving reviews on it, so it is definitely on my list. I am so impressed by this writer, I'm really looking forward to additional books in this series!

    I just can't get over how amazing this story was. Going in an know daws from wreck you I was so unsure but immediately feel in love you him. It was so amazing to see how all the things Aubrey had been through she was so strong and the love these two shared was so beautiful. Defiantly a must read and can't wait to read what's next!
