I do NOT consider these as stand-alone reads. It is set within the same universe as two other series; Dark and Dirty Sinners’ MC and the Valentini Family (Italian mafia). There are multiple reoccurring characters, overlapping timelines and several overarching themes. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend these be read in the order recommended by Serena Akeroyd for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers.

If you have not read any of the previous stories within the Five Points’ universe, the following will contain spoilers!!!
The overall storyline / plot is intricate and is executed masterfully by Serena Akeroyd. Just when you think you have a grasp of how the story might be laid out or proceed, Serena surprises you … but in the best ways. Normally this many stories, or multiple stories / series within the same universe, I would have to switch to a different type for a while because they would have too much in common and would become repetitive. I can honestly say that has never happened with one of Serena’s reads yet, which I consider the highest compliment.
This revisits Aiden Jr. and Savannah and begins after their marriage and his father’s assassination. It focuses not just on Sr.’s death, but Aiden’s taking over their ‘organization’. It provides a roadmap so to speak of how they plan on tackling the various entities that are allies and enemies. It contains multiple POVs, which I personally love since they provide a more complete picture that brings the entire universe to life and makes everything just that more thrilling and realistic.
The other thing that I especially loved about this story is that we see how truly different Savannah is from the other women and how she can be a strong and willing partner to Aiden. This a MUST READ for any fan of the Five Points universe. Provides an interesting lead in for Conor and Star’s story, which can’t get here soon enough for me.
The grammatical issues are practically nonexistent in this story, which I greatly appreciate (can’t say the same for my first posting of this review for some reason 🥹). The engagement issue with this universe for me has been the terms and phrases not typically utilized within the US, in which the stories are set. I consider myself well read and I have a decent vocabulary, but some of these are definitely not part of the national vernacular, which ends my ‘movie’, as I have to stop and look them up or I find myself distracted wondering what exactly that meant. Most of the time I can figure out based upon the content, but I hate guessing and uncertainty. This is why I am trying to make sure I include these types of things, so for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read can be better prepared, as errors or unfamiliar phrases interrupt the flow and visualization.

A top-tier mafia romance series!
I cannot express how much I love this series and how much I adore these characters and the world Serena Akeroyd has created. So much happened in this book. Where do I even start? This series has grown beyond just telling the story of a single couple in each book. This book’s main focus was on revisiting Aiden Jr and Savannah, who we first met in Filthy Hot. This is the story of how The Five Points begin to expand and consolidate their power in NYC and take down the New World Sparrows. This all has a big impact on Aiden and Savannah’s relationship and we get to see them struggle and grow as a couple. They were sweet, loving, snarky, frustrating (to each other), and SEXY together. I thought Eoghan or Declan might be my favorite O’Donnelly brother, but this book made me think Aiden is because phew boy! 🥵 However, theirs was not the only story being told. We not only got to check in with almost every other couple we’ve met before and see how the bigger, overarching developments were affecting them, but we also got some (maybe not so happy? 😬) updates on a couple who has been teased for a LONG time. I pray Serena takes pity on us poor readers (and the characters) and puts us out of our misery soon with Filthy Feck, the next book in the series. 🤞🙏 #IYKYK I’m so happy to have gotten an ARC of this book. I 💯 would have read it regardless, because I adore this world and these characters so much. This was a phenomenal read. I had a very hard time putting it down.
