Drake's words run on a loop, chasing me around the room as I stagger to the bathroom in search of Tylenol. It's only when I'm staring at my own reflection, at the hollow brown eyes, shaggy beard, long greasy hair, and greenish-tinted skin, that I realize even though I'm physically here, I'm not mentally. No, mentally I'm still stuck in that damn shack in Africa, lying on the ground, bleeding out and unable to help save her. 
Failing her. Because that's what it amounts to. I failed her in every way possible, and I'm left here to deal with the aftermath of my failure. My self-imposed purgatory. 
But today. Today I'll get the answers that will, hopefully, help me move on. 
Answers.
After four damn months.
Finally, I'll have some answers.

    This was one of those books that I put off reading, but then absolutely loved it. I’m sick of reading the typical cheesy romance novels, and this book was definitely not that. It had a unique storyline and kept me interested the entire read. I felt the connection with the main characters and enjoyed their journey. The ending could have probably been a bit more realistic and exciting, but it worked.

    This is the second book of Kennedy Mitchell's I've read, and in both the fast-paced nature and the absolutely smokin sexy times kept me glued to my chair, completely entranced until I finished it in one sitting. I might be slightly obsessed with Ms. Mitchell's words!

    Once I started this book, I read it straight through -day and night. The characters were so real, and the author made them so believable! I am now looking at every other book this author has written. And I imagine I’ll read them all before I’m done. I Highly recommend this book. The violence was horrendous, both physical and mental. But the resolution of the story gave it a “happy ending “. Which was all that one could ask.

    I have to say I really enjoyed this story although I did find it a little bit confusing at the start as it seemed to miss gaps of time and introduce characters from seemingly nowhere, however it all came together in the end. I think Kennedy L. Mitchell is a great writer and I look forward to reading more of her work.

    If you want mystery, intrigue, intense emotion and romance all in one book, this is the book for you, phew, I think I need a drink.
