A Little Bit Broken: Finding My Forever Book 2 Kindle Edition
Unfortunately, my past has a way of finding me and I’m going to need some help at the coffee shop I own. But it’s hard to find someone you can trust with only three applicants, one of which happens to be an ex-con. My prospects aren’t looking very good.
When help comes from an unlikely source, will Harley’s past come back to haunt him? Will he let the surprising new friendship he's found grow into something more, or will he let his rocky past hold him back on the things he needs most; friendship and love?

About the author

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.
She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2017Life is so hard, and at times, causes people to make bad decisions and then they have to face the consequences of those decisions. That is definitely the case with the two main characters in this story. You know the book is about Harley. And you know he has a love interest, but I won’t name him as I don’t want to give away any spoilers. But I will say this; his love interest is so not who I thought it would be! This book is about second chances, second chances in life and love. It’s about trust, trusting someone enough to give them your heart as well as to be there for you when you need them most, or just when you are having a crappy day. It’s about family, and not necessarily the blood related kind. There is a trigger warning at the beginning of the book, make sure you understand that. There is an abusive ex in this book, and he just won’t go away! There is a very strong “side-line” story feel to this book and I really hope (hint, hint Michele) that book three will fill in that story!!! But this doesn’t in any way distract from Harley’s story. We meet new characters and I hope that a certain red-headed artist gets a story as well as he definitely needs one! This book was a one-click buy for me as I fell in love with Caleb and Reese in the first book and was very anxious to read the stories of the others! I am anxiously awaiting the next book! I recommend this book to anyone that likes M/M books with characters that are a little bit broken, and are just looking for a second chance!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2017I absolutely loved this book. Its my first book from this author. I fell in love with Levi. I just wanted to take him home with me. I definitely will recommend this book to anyone. But it is a little long so make time for a good story. But I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because one little thing bugged the heX@ out of me. This author seems to like to give nicknames to almost every single character in this book. So much so that it became annoying. In my entire life I have never seen so many people with nicknames. Some dont even make any sense. Its like the author was going to make a nickname regardless for the characters.. Examples - Tristan is Tris, Harley is Har, and Caleb is leb. Just make it easy and give the characters all 3 letter names to start with already! That being said it was an otherwise awesome book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2018Broken and lonely, that's what Harley thinks he will always be.
But since he was included in the Maher family things have been better . And when his new hot barista Theo seems to be just as attracted to Harley as he is to him Harley wants to enjoy it as long as he can before it ends.
Both Harley and Theo are hurting from their past experiences, but if they can learn how to trust and lean on each other maybe they can make it together.
It was so good to revisit Reese and Caleb, the Maher family, Levi, Declan and all the friends and I'm going straight to Levis book after this.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2019Harley broke my heart over and over again but he and Theo ultimately put it back together again. Harley was physically abused by his Ex and was an emotional wreck. Theo was an ex con but was the sweetest guy. He was everything Harley needed. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone but is much better if read in the series order!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2017This one was just as long as the first one, and unfortunately it felt it. I felt it was a little long, some stuff was a tad to drawn out. I loved Theo, Harley is a great character also, but Theo did it for me. He's had a bit of a rough trot, as has Harley, but I'll never understand the need to protect someone who wrongs you so badly. You'll understand when you read it. I'm very intrigued where the author is going to take Levi's story. I'm not sure how I feel if it's not with Declan.. Just sayin!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2019This 2nd book in the series was a bit better than the first which was a lesson in boredom! At least in this book the story had a little action and interesting twists. Though, more excitement or suspense would have been better. At least the guys in graphic on the cover seemed attractive! This was not the case with the first book in this series. In the story the characters described one another as the best looking guys anyone has ever seen! Yet the guys on the front cover looked anything but!
I love this author, at least I think she's a really great writer, which is why I purchased the first 3 books of this 4 book series. Yes, I'm a romantic guy, at least as much as the next guy... and it seems all I ever do is read gay romance novels. But, I like there to be a story to the romance...at least one that's interesting or keeps my attention.
The characters and relationship described in this book were very well developed and interesting and relatable. The story was.... nice... good but still a little vanilla except for the few suspenseful sections. And, what is it about gay romance authors... especially women. Do they all actually think that the only thing gay guys think about is sex?? I mean, I like sex as much as the next guy, but come on!! I don't read gay romance to have to slog through pages and pages of pornographic sexual encounters in almost every chapter... I mean... seriously?
I have stacks of books to read, calling for my attention. The first two books of this series were so unmemorable, it will be a while before I read the third, and may not ever buy the fourth.
Gay romance novel's are nice, and I love happily ever after, but the pornography gets old and unless there is some kind of story to keep your interest, some excitement or suspense going on, you might as well not waste your time or your money.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2017My heart broke for Harley, he was going through something terrible but didn't want to tell anyone for fear it made him look weak. Theo was a ray of sunshine who stepped in to help wherever he was needed, but with his past he felt self conscious and nervous. Together they helped heal each other and learned what love really was. Highly recommended and I can't wait for Levi's story!
