    I simply adore Chantelle LaVauns books. The characters are likable and have real personalities. The situations are fun, scary, and adventurous streaming easily from one situation to the next. She is a master at spinning tales and the reader is brought along easily. I love that there are no heart rendering cliff hangers- just continuation of the crazy paths the young witches tread. Seamlessly. Yes, I have a girl crush on this fabulous author.
    I read a few different genres and as far as fantasy goes Chantelle is one of my favorites. Easy to read and most of all; when you get to the END it isn’t disappointing like most. To many authors just crank out word salads without any consideration to the series. They keep going forever losing the feel of the original books and leaving the reader sad and depressed, not Chantelle at all.
    Her books are really good reads for YA and not over sexualized, but addresses relationships thoughtfully. Again I can’t praise her writing enough. I truly hope she never loses her magic touch.

    I stumbled over Ms. Lavaun's "The Coven" series a few weeks ago. I bought the first book and then eagerly purchased the rest of the series and ripped through them all. Then I had to wait. And wait. And while it was only a few weeks, it felt like forever until this book came out because I loved the series so much. I preordered it and it arrived on my kindle on 12/31 but I held out and waited to read it until yesterday (1/1) so I could start off my year in an awesome way. I was not disappointed at all. It was great to see a bit of Deacon's background and I absolutely loved how Emersyn came into her own. It was fantastic to see her not only grow as the Empress but into herself as a woman/teenager too. I absolutely love the ideas (no spoilers) that were discussed after the final climactic battle and loved how the book ended. I can only assume the cliffhanger the book left off with will roll into the next season of the series. I preordered the newest book as soon as I finished this one and will cross my fingers that it comes sooner rather than later. This was a great read and the entire Elemental Magic series is definitely one that I will come back to and reread when I need some magic in my life.

    What a great novella, I was hooked! I'm so happy that Emersyn and Deacon got their chance in the limelight. The only complaint I have is that it could have definitely been an entire novel on its own. It felt too short. Haha, but I look forward to diving into the next few books all the same to continue the story and meet the new characters.

    Bettina's und Saffie's Geschichten 📚 und die Geschichten zu den neuen Schulen 👩‍🎓 kenne ich auch schon, werde sie aber auch noch als Hörbuch-Box 🎧 kaufen 💶 und erneut genießen.
    Bentley's Geschichte, 🙏🙏🙏 vor allem in Bezug auf die spitzen Ohren in seinem Traum, 🤔 würde ich auch gerne noch lesen/hören 👀/👂.
