Heather is a lover of all books YA Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy, but it wasn’t until she was in college that she realized this. It’s likely why the book she wrote in 8th grade was rewritten several times and then set aside to sit on her bookshelf to never see the light of day. Once Heather found the genre that she enjoyed above all others, she dove back into reading, and with it, writing. That’s why even her Christmas books are filled with dragons and shifters.

Currently, Heather and her writing companion, Gunney, live in Wisconsin. He’s her Pomeranian that loves to keep her company while she writes and edits. He also keeps her on her toes. They can often be found wandering the local cemetery to escape the apartment, sitting out on the back deck, or snuggling on the couch writing. If Heather isn’t writing, she’s listening to music while crocheting, making Christmas ornaments, or reading. Some form of music is always playing, and each book has its own theme song or album.

    I didn't know what to expect when I started this book, but to love it and want the next 3 in the series wasn't really one of them. Heather has such a way in describing things that it makes you feel like you're right in the story with the characters. My favorite part of this was the snowball fight. So funny. But there's also plenty of romance and things that touch the heart in this as well, along with new ideas I've never read about before in the book world. It was refreshing and I can't wait to see what happens in the next books with all of these unique characters you can't help but love!

    Vixen is a fun ice dragon who loves all things Christmas. Lunar, her unexpected mate could go either way on the holiday. I loved Vixen and her true love of Christmas. Everyone cares about her even if sometimes she gets into mischief with her two elf best friends, Holly and Jolly. Lunar isn't your typical hero. He takes some time to grow on you but he's well worth the wait. Lunar and Vixen together are hilarious at times and adorkable at others. They're a perfect match.
    Heather Karn has the most unique paranormal stories I've ever read. First Christmas and her take on dragon shifters and their mates blew me away. If you're looking for something new and different in the shifter romance trope, then First Christmas is a must read.

    Two of my favourite things in one. Dragons and Christmas... Oh, and Elves. What isn't there to love? I absolutely adored Heather's take on Christmas with Dragons. I was stuck within the pages and really didn't want to leave, even after it was over. Vixen is a strong female lead who really won't let a tiny problem keep her from what she wants. It was really lovely following Vixen teach Lunar about Christmas and showing him why she loves it so much. And lesson learn, stay away from a snowball fight with Elves.
    I know what friends and family will be receiving this Christmas!
