Fixing Him (Fixing Series Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 198 ratings

One summer.
Three months.
Ninety days spent learning every inch of Sam Matthews’ body.
We agreed to no strings when our time was up.
We promised we could both handle this.
I lied.

I never expected to fall for this man or this town.
This was just supposed to be a stop on the way to starting my real life.
But now, time is up and everything feels wrong.

He says I’m too young.
He says I’m too innocent.
He says he’s not the type to settle down.

He’s fixing my newly inherited home.
Now, I’m fixing his frame of mind.

Loved this story!

Loved this story!
Fixing Him had me at first page! This gem had me literally staying up late because I just had to see how it would all end. I love Montana. She is a hoot! She is fun and outrageous at times. She does not have a filter which brings out her beauty inside and out. That also twists up Sam too! Our lovable and adorable Sam. Our hero takes on the world and before he knew it, Montana came crashing into his life like a tornado. The banter and undying attraction these two have make sparks fly! I love all the woman in this story as they are fierce, strong, and know how to have a girls night in! I want to be a part of that clan too! Will Sam allow Montana hold some of his burden? Will he finally see that age is nothing but a number? I loved the chemistry these two had and at the same time I was yelling at Sam to open his eyes. It's funny how you may not go out looking for love, but love will still find you. I loved everything this book had to offer and have a new series I am addicted to!

Fixing Him is the second novel in Miranda Elaine’s Fixing series of standalones. I absolutely loved it, and I love this author’s writing style! Miranda has a definite way with words, and as a new author, she’s already found her voice, and it’s sweet and sultry! Her writing is sharp and engaging, and her second solo novel was well polished, nicely paced and came together into a wholly addictive story that was as full of heart and heat as it was hilarious.

A light-hearted, easy-reading May-December romance, at its most basic, Fixing Him was about finding love when you aren’t looking for it. The author has a great sense of humor that she used liberally throughout this story. Montana may have only been in town temporarily, but she slid into life in small town Tennessee like she was born there. Sam wasn’t only a swoon-worthy hero, he was a really great guy, too. He was so busy holding it all together for everyone else in his life that he didn’t even realize that was kind of falling apart until Montana blew into town and breathed a little life into him. The side characters in this story were fantastic and added wonderful richness and depth to this story, and I adored Montana’s beloved pet pig, Kermie.

Once again, Miranda Elaine has left me fully entertained and thoroughly impressed with her writing. Fixing Him was a sexy and fun story brimming with humor and endearing characters. A charming premise and a heartstring-tugging, hot-as-the-Tennessee-summer-sun romance kept me smiling from cover-to-cover. I positively devoured this book, and I was left wanting more and excited about what will come next from the very talented Miranda Elaine. Five smooches from me for Fixing Him by Miranda Elaine!

A summer fling that was supposed to end come fall. However, love doesn't follow a plan.

Montana is new in town. After inheriting her grandfather's lakehouse, she's in town for a few months to get it remodeled and then sold. This girl is young and so full of life. I absolutely adored her free spirit and kind heart.

Sam works as a foreman for Kade Construction and he's the man who will be remodeling Montana's lakehouse. Sam is a hard-worker, dedicated to helping his disabled father and has forgotten what happiness is. Montana is about to breath new life into him.

Sam and Montana are drawn to one another, even though Sam is bound and determined to stay away. He wants her to live a life not weighed down with his baggage. Plus he's also hung up on the fact that he's ten years older. Montana will not be deterred in her pursuit of what she wants and in this case it's Sam.

Another great read from this author. The characters make you fall in love with them and their small town life. We got to catch up some with Temperance, Kade and Leigh and I always enjoy that. I love a sexy age gap romance and this definitely checked all the boxes!

Fixing Him by Miranda Elaine is the second book in her standalone Fixing series. Told in dual POV between a sexy contractor with no time for love and a beautiful young woman just looking to find her place in the world. Well-written and well-paced with a little bit of angst, a whole lot of sexy and even more humor and good vibes. The growth of the characters from the beginning of the story through to the end is significant and heartwarming. This is my first time reading this author but it won't be my last. I enjoyed every page of this book. Hope you do too! Enjoy!

I was given a ARC for my honest review
Montana moves to clean up her uncle's house that was given to her when he pasted away fresh out of college Montana plans to stay just for the summer so she can get things in order then last thing she expects is to fall for Sam a construction worker working on her house. Sam is instantly attracted to Montana but knows she is know good for him not only the age difference but social standing as well. The flirtion between them is hot and heavy and it's time before Montana breaks down Sam's walls.

I liked the concept of this story it just seemed to fall short for me. None of these characters really called to me I didn't dislike them just didn't feel the connection. I like to feel invested and moved when reading about the charters. i didn't feel that way about Montana or Sam i felt they would be good side charters not the main focus of the book. It was still enjoyable just not memorable.

I love Fixing Him. Montana is such a free spirit. She has this gypsy nature about her and you can't help but love her. You can just sense that she's missing something, searching for something that she has yet to know she wanted. Sam is an all around amazing guy. He is caring and such a hard worker. He has so much love to give yet he know that something has held him back. Once you find out about Sam and Montana's background you can't help but to love them more. You feel the chemistry from the start. Even with Sam misjudging Montana at the beginning you could tell that there is something special between them. I can't forget Kermie. That little guy is an amazing little pig. Fixing Him is such an amazing read that you wont want to miss out on.
