Flight Plan: Restoration Adventures, Book 2
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
It's a simple plan: first get away. Then get revenge.
The future will bring technological revolutions and political upheaval, but some things are timeless. Love grows, trust is precious, and nothing ever goes as planned.
Naomi Kwan is running for her life. First she's accused of terrorism, then her friend Serena is charged with murder, and then the police try to kill them both. They escape with their lives before the corrupt officials behind the frame-ups can silence them, but as conspiracies unravel on all sides, their luck is sure to run out.
Carl Jenson and his brother Parker are government contractors hired to gather evidence against Naomi, but the mission turns personal when all hell breaks loose. They know Naomi is innocent, and they know all about liberating people trapped by escalating violence. The hardest part will be convincing Naomi they're on her side.
A daring escape and a desperate rescue are only the beginning. Mysteries from Naomi's past will collide with Carl and Parker's many secrets, and unraveling the plots that tie them all together leads to explosive consequences.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIf you have looked at the other reviews I have written for the work of K. M. Herkes you know I am a fan. This being said, I am really disappointed with the love matches in this one. No, not really but I was so in love with...you know what nevermind. Spoilers. The way it all works out in the end set my disappointment out on the curb to make room for the new warm snugglies invoked by the mastery of storytelling. Get busy with more of Justin's story Miss! I'm really looking forward to Carl's story in Novices, too. How much longer do i have to wait?! It's taking forever I swear.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe phrase that comes to mind while reading this book is "Sufficiently advanced technology [or, sometimes, science!] is indistinguishable from magic".
What a small group of skilled people can achieve with sheer, dogged determination even with government and military stacked against them can be quite amazing. Our array of protagonists may be in turns tired, broken and wounded, but together they manage to stymie an arcane terrorist plot and put each other back together as well.
Final note: I absolutely loved Serena and her Pack!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe follow up book to Controlled Decent, if you enjoyed that you'll enjoy this. Same main cast plus some new fun additions! Someone poke me when book 3 appears please.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2015Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis world turned sideways is interesting and too scarily believable. For me though, it's just the framework of the story. The real meat is in the characters and how they fit together. They all have their amazing strengths, but not one of them has strength without some demons to balance it out. I can't wait for the third installment.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseMore adventures of the characters from Controlled Descent. Excellent follow up book. Again, a great combination of near future cyber punk, political thriller and action. Memorable pithy dialogue adds to the fun. And did I mention part romance novel(just a tad with out getting mushy :) ). I await the next installment of this series
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAdding in a few new characters to the mix this story continues where controlled descent leaves off but it is it's own story. Loved the strong females as well as the males.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSequal to Controlled Descent, with the same great characters ('cept one... lookin' at you Tyler), with some spectacular additions... Serena and the dogs are worth reading the book by themselves. Recommended
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAfter reading Controlled Descent, I immediately downloaded Flight Plan. It did not disappoint. I like this world and the people in it. Looking forward to reading more.
