Forest's Hope: Timber Valley Wolf Pack Book 1 Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 1,088 ratings

Can Aspen accept Forest as his alpha and mate?

Timber Valley’s Alpha never expected to find his fated mate. Forest didn’t even know if he wanted one because a mate would only complicate things and he was certain he’d disappoint any mate ever given him anyway. There were certain things about him that nobody in his pack knew and he was happy keeping it that way. Wasn’t he? Then why did he long for what his neighbors in the den have? He was happy being the fire chief, right?

Aspen unexpectedly fled from the only home he’d ever known, only to be thrust into a world much bigger than he knew existed. Until he left Kodiak Island with his childhood friend and his mate, he never knew warlocks existed. Not only that, but most of the members of his new den were mated to other species, something that he didn’t realize could happen. A trip to the wolf pack with his new best friend alters Aspen’s future when he finds his mate. But is Forest happy to have found him? The hunky alpha certainly does things to Aspen’s body, but why doesn’t he seem eager to claim him? Is it because he’s not a wolf?

Will these two ever figure things out? Forest knows after scenting his mate that he wants him, more than anything. But is Aspen willing to do things a little differently for his mate?

Forest’s Hope is the first book in the Timber Valley Wolf Pack Series, which is a Honey Creek Den spin off. Since the stories are so closely related and overlap, it is recommended that you read the Honey Creek Den series first. Each book contains a fated mate pair, Mpreg, lots of knotting during howly sexy times, and babies. Did I mention babies and pregnant omegas? Just like the bears, these alphas will do anything for their mates, just read and see. The Timber Valley Wolf Pack Series is meant to be read in order, and these books aren’t considered standalones, even though each book focuses on a different couple. This book is intended for adults only as these shifters tend to get growly and don’t watch their language.

The Men of Crooked Bend Series is my first published series and those Redfeather men will always have a special place in my heart. It was incredibly difficult to let those men go. It was originally supposed to be a trilogy but it ended up as an eleven-book series. In the Men of Crooked Bend series, you get to know the cowboys and other men of Wild Creek Ranch in Crooked Bend, Wyoming (a totally fictitious town). The series is set in the foothills of the Grand Teton Mountains, a place I fell in love with as a teenager.

Sulfur Springs is a closely related spin-off series to the Men of Crooked Bend. In it you leave Wild Creek Ranch and go to the little neighbor town of Sulfur Springs and meet the sexy men of the Sulfur Springs Fire Depart, the sheriff's department, as well as quite a few US Marshals. You see some familiar faces but you also meet some very new ones. It’s a complete series and has nine books to round off that world in a twenty-book world.

I love to read, it’s always been one of my favorite things to do since I can remember. When I started writing, I couldn't decide if I wanted to write contemporary or paranormal as I love both. I chose contemporary but still, paranormal was talking to me and those darn shifters kept saying, “tell our story, it’ll be fun.” So I did. And it was. That’s how I started what’s turned into Edison’s world. lol

It starts with the bears of the Honey Creek Den series. Honey Creek is another totally fictitious town set on Flathead Lake (a real place) in Montana. I've never been there, but hope to get there at some point. Honey Creek Den is finished with the planned six books. The Timber Valley Wolf Pack is the second series in that world and is also finished with six books. After the bears and wolves, I of course needed to give you Edison and his warlocks! The Warlocks of Amherst Series takes us away from the den and pack and we get to travel to Amherst, Massachusetts for some fun. The Vampires of the Beloved Gem follow Master Nikolai and his wayward vampires as they float up and down the Mississippi River in their riverboat casino. The Paranormal Council Enforcers is where we’ve ended up, and it is my current series. We’re meeting all kinds of enforcers who are busy dealing with evil while trying to win the affections of their fated mates.

When I'm not busy drinking coffee and writing about warlocks, vampires, wolves, or dragons (to name just a few), I like to read (who doesn't?). Because of my limited free time, I’m fond of short stories and novellas. I can be found on Amazon, Book Bub, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Forest doesn’t think he’s good enough for a mate or deserves one but then Aspen shows up in his life and he knows he would do anything to keep him. They do have a little bit of a rough start but it all works out quickly and they claim each other but life isn’t simple for any of these shifters and they have so much more to face ahead. Taylor does amazing things with her characters and always makes the books worth the read. 😀❤️

Forest and Aspen's story is the beginning of a new series Timber Valley Wolf Pack. This is my seventh book for this author and it's starting to feel like she has a template that she follows. The couple meet, one of the pair has an issue that he feels might make the other one not want him, hence one of them runs off, feeling rejected and the other chases after. The romance and intimate scenes all feel the same just with the new pairs name inserted and a little tweak here and there. I may need a break for awhile from this series and the author. I love Forest or what he could be if he had been fully developed and Aspen needs work....he was barely formed...just the baby carrier, there was no sense of him as an individual. I recommend reading and as always Happy Reading!!!

This is a stunning first book in a new series. It follows on the heels of the Honey Creek Den series. The characters overlap. I was welcomed back with open arms. This has a surprising alpha, a strong, feisty omega, family galore, a reunion, babies, and lots of matings. What's not to love!
Forest has two jobs; Fire Chief and Alpha of the Timber Valley Pack. He also has a secret he fears will make him a bad mate. Then he scents Aspen. His mate. A bear, but his wolf doesn't care. Mate. Ours. Aspen has always wanted one thing; a mate and cubs. His bear is crazy for this wolf, secret and all. A claiming, a heat, and a pregnancy make for an interesting few weeks. You are gonna love this book!
This series continues and I can't wait to read the next book. If you haven't read the Honey Creek series, do so now. It sets up this new series. After the first book, you will be hooked.

I loved Forest and Aspen's story. Like Taylor rylan's other books, the storylines was interesting and the characters were fun. This is the first book in the Timber Valley Wolf Pack series and sets a great time for the rest of the books that will follow. I liked how Forest wanted to make sure to tell his secret to Aspen before mating so that if it was too much, he had a way out... He is a great and strong Alpha. And Aspen is a strong omega who loves his mate no matter what . I can't wait for the next books. Definitely a recommended read.

The timing was off In the writing. Akin to watching a ballet where the dancers are dancing ahead of the music. The characters don’t seem relatable. Also, not sure if there is a story arc that precedes this book, but the author alludes to there being one and it is a little distracting to read this book before the others.

Forest like all older children take on the responsibility of caring for everyone else and sometimes its lonely on top of that ladder. When he meets his forever mate Aspen he knows his life just got better. And he'll never be alone again of course they got busy and made babies oh yeah they had a great time working on that.lol

5.0 out of 5 stars From Honey Creek to Timber Valley

Forest, the Timber Valley Alpha did not even believe he ever found his mate.
Aspen, a Kodiakbear Omega was separated from his parents and taken to Honey Creek by his friend. Through his friend Orin, he meets Forest.
    .
I love how Taylor connects old and new people and stories.

Although the focus has shifted to the wolves of Timber Valley, the beloved characters of Honey Creek are there as well.

She continues the story of Hank and the displaced Omegas from Alaska. I hope she will clarify the questions why this happens in the next books.

Aspen and Forest story is great, sometimes sad but wonderfully written. Who likes Shifter and mpreg I can highly recommend Taylory Shifter series
