Prepare yourselves! It’s another heart breaker from Katie Mettner!
Ms. Mettner is the queen of inspirational romance. She can take the most broken characters and turn them into the most giving and forgiving characters you’ll wish you knew in real life.
I knew Phoenix and Adam from Winter’s Rain. If you loved Winter’s Rain, you will thoroughly enjoy Forever, Phoenix. The two stories intertwine beautifully. Winter’s happy ending is prolonged here and you’ll get plenty of chances to see her happy and successful.
Phoenix and Adam come together beautifully too. Adam is a sweet and very attentive person who loves with his whole heart. His story is littered with tragedy that he fights to overcome.
Phoenix is also beautifully broken. With a secret and a severe case of insecurity, Phoenix accepts that she’s destined to be alone, until Adam swoops back into her life after being gone for 6 years.
Their love story is a test of time and by the end, you’ll have no doubt they’re meant to be together.
Right when you think the story is over, you’re rewarded generously with the happiest of endings for this loving couple.
As with all of Katie’s books, I loved this story. I cried, laughed and even got a little mad a couple of times, but if you’re not feeling the full range of emotions with one of Katie’s books, there’s something wrong with you.

Once again, Katie Mettner reminds us that love can over come adversity, not matter how unlikely it may seem. Phoenix learns to trust and love , not only Adam, herself. All of the friends work together to encourage each other and reach out to those in need of love and help.
A story that is amazing and thought provoking that Ms.Mettner is really great at doing.

This book was so sad but yet so wonderful. Phoenix and Adam loved each other since the seventh grade but life took them in separate directions. Until Adam came back to town. Phoenix had so many secret and did not trust anyone. I love the way the author told their story. At times you will cry for them, laugh with them, and love them. I do hope there is more to this set. The author never disappoints. Well done.

Forever Phoenix is another, heartfelt, heartwarming, story of finding out and learning how to love yourself as you are. As He created you and learning to see yourself as the one He meant for you sees you. Katie nails it again!!!!!!

Katie Mettner has done it again – she’s made me smile and she’s made me cry.
Forever, Phoenix is a standalone in the Northern Lights series, but if you’ve read Winter’s Rain, I know you will be wondering about Phoenix and Adam. I know I was. This is your chance to find out.
One of the things that I like about Katie’s books is the characters. Her characters are ‘real’ people. There are no billionaires or beautiful models, although there are definitely beautiful people. But each and every one of them will touch your heart in one way or another.
In Forever, Phoenix, my heart was touched by Phoenix and Adam. Adam made me swoon (think hot cop with tattoos), but Phoenix made me smile. She also frustrated me a few times, but I got over it.
But you need more than just great characters to make an awesome book; you need a story that you can believe and something that pulls at your heartstrings. Katie Mettner provides all those things and more, including a couple of twists that I didn’t see coming.
I have one warning – have a few tissues ready as you approach the end of the book. I cried a few times, but they were happy tears.
I gave Forever, Phoenix 5 stars.

Tears streamed down my face as I read the epilogue of Forever, Phoenix by Katie Mettner. The characters are all sweet and kind and yet, like so many of us, wrestle with their own self-worth. Perceived flaws cloak our beauty until someone special removes it so that we can see ourselves through their eyes. It is enlightenment. The beauty was there all along, and the suffering seemed all for naught, until it is realized that the experience enables us to help another.

Inspirational biblical messages are intertwined throughout the story enhancing the overall uplifting feeling and reminds us that someone else suffered greatly in the aim of helping others.

Nice story Katie. Your inspirational writing is admirable, helpful and an enjoyable experience.
