    The story Phoenix Rising: A Fortis Security Novel Book 7 (Fortis Security Series) by Maddie Wade is the next amazing book in a series that I have fallen in love with. I am always excited to learn of another story in the series. I love reading about the Fortis Security team. This story is about the characters of Daniel Thompson and Dr. Megan Bennett. Daniel is a man that is strong, tough, and protective. He is also kind and gentle. He says what he means and doesn’t shy away from who he is. He tells himself that Megan is off limits however the feelings that he has for her are very strong. Megan is a beautiful, smart, clever, and compassionate woman. While she is trying to fit in with her family she has found herself very attracted to Daniel. One of the reasons that I love Megan’s character so much is her willingness to help others. When reading about Daniel and Megan you can feel the sparks and electricity in the air. That there is a chemistry between them can’t be denied. The passion and desire between them are off the charts and makes the temperature in the room rise. There is plenty of dirty talking and steamy scenes in this story. When there is a threat to Megan, Daniel goes into protective mode. Will Daniel be able to keep her safe? What does the future hold for Daniel and Megan? Will their feelings/emotions for each other lead them to find happiness together? Will they get an HEA? Read this book to find out. One of the other reasons that I enjoyed reading this book so much is the other characters that help and interact with Daniel and Megan. Many are also part of Fortis. In the Fortis team, there are strong bonds/ties and they will always help each other out when needed. I found myself getting lost in the pages of this book and not wanting to put it down. I was turning pages to find out what happens next. It is well-written and a book that I would highly recommend reading.

    This series is fantastic. Phoenix Rising is the 7th book of the series.

    Daniel is a single father to an amazing little girl named Paige. She is his world. He is also trying to get revenge on those that killed his beloved wife. He protects those he loves at all costs.

    Megan has suffered some trauma. She is trying to fit into her new life. She feels lost sometimes. It seems the only one that truly understands her is Daniel but he is off limits.

    This story is a page turner for sure. It is action packed, some secrets revealed, and bit forbidden. It makes for a wonderful read. I am excited to see what the next book of the series has in store for us.

    Daniel is going to get his own second chance at love. Megan is the younger sister who went missing when she was born. She had been raised by the terrorist. But now she is back with her family. This story is evolving towards a big finale in an upcoming book. Though the couple are working out then own happiness she finds out that she is pregnant. He has to figure out if he can let the death of his first wife go and let someone else in. These books are pretty steamy in context. Just wish there was less bedroom mire action packed confrontation with the bad guys.

I loved how Megan brought out things in Daniel that he never would have thought about doing with Claire. I also love Daniel’s kinky side. This was hot and exciting the action was intense, as in all of Ms Wade’s books, and I hated for it to end!

    This series just keeps getting better! Daniel and Megan’s story is exciting, romantic and another page turning favourite.
    Maddie Wade has totally nailed it with every single book in the Fortis Series, each and every character is totally individual and each story grips you from beginning to end!

    Daniel is totally endearing with his love for his daughter, his inner demons regarding his dead wife and his uncertainty about moving on.
    Megan is a survivor, and even more than that she is determined to make a difference and help those affected by the evil that has infected all their lives.

    Maddie’s understandings and love for her characters always shine in her books, she without doubt wants her readers to feel a connection with each of them on an personal level and I have felt that with every book to date.
    You could easily read each book as a stand alone but for me, reading the series in order will be like adding pieces to a jigsaw, however you want to do it is irrelevant, just do it, you won’t regret it.

    Phoenix Rising is the seventh book in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. This is a romantic suspense- with action, adventure, emotion, danger, thrills, intrigue, mystery, special ops, secrets, loss, guilt, grief, camaraderie, belonging, drama, second chances, intense chemistry, facing fears, and romance. But, let’s face it, Ms. Wade had me at the mention of Daniel Thompson- I have been intrigued by him and his story since meeting him back in book one. So, I was excited to get my hand on this book, reading avidly right from the very first page, till the last word. I was completely hooked- I read it in one sitting and loved every word.
    I have loved everything about this series, with each book outdoing the one before it- this book has become my favourite out of the series so far- but then I have said that about every book, they are all sooo good. This could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the previous books to get all the relevant backstory and character introductions that will give you a better understanding of the series and characters, and will enhance your reading experience- not to mention that the other six books are fantastic stories in their own right/s.
    This story picks up where Arctic Fire (Book #6) left off, and centres on Daniel Thompson who is an Ex-SAS Commander and the second in charge of Fortis Security. He is a widower and single father to his adorable daughter Paige. Daniel has had more than his fair share of heartache, carrying the burden of guilt and pain over the death of his wife. He is a man of few words, an alpha with a fiercely protective streak. His number one priority is to ensure his daughter stays safe, and to find a way to avenge his wife’s murder. He isn’t interested in a relationship, focusing on his family and ‘job’. So, he is totally unprepared for the effect that his best friend’s younger sister would have on him.
    Megan Bennett is a brilliant doctor (scientist) who is coming to terms with being reunited with her loving family after more than 20 years of forced separation. She was raised by a horrible, vile woman- but thanks to Fortis Security who extracted her, she has is now back with her true family. She has had trouble adjusting- never having experienced a loving family environment, belonging, or love. She feels that Daniel is the only one who truly sees ‘her’- and he has captured her heart. But there are secrets that jeopardises everything she holds dear. What does the future hold for her and Daniel?
    Ms. Wade certainly doesn’t do things by halves, and she certainly makes her characters ‘work’ for any happiness- there were points where I think ‘How much more can they take?”- Daniel and Megan have been through so much, and again in this story they both will be tested. As with every book of Ms. Wade’s that I read, she held the tension, intrigue and suspense at an elevated level throughout the book- and kept me guessing most of the way through- she expertly added twists and surprises that also ramped it up a few more notches. I adored the ending, and that epilogue is everything!!!
    This is a quick (180pgs), easy and fast-paced read, and is a superb addition to the captivating series!
    I can’t wait to read Digital Desire, the next book in the series!

    I love reading a series of books with intertwined characters as it allows for more depth for each individual as you see snippets of them in all the different stories and it allows you to understand their motivations far better. Daniel and Megan’s story was full of heat but also guilt and fear and worry with Daniel being a widower and single father and Megan only recently meeting her family and struggling to find her place.
    No giveaways or spoilers from me but if you like a good suspense with romance and a lot of heat you will enjoy this series and you can read them out of order but you should start at the beginning. I cannot wait for book 8 and onwards just loving the characters thank you Maddie Wade for great escapism x

    Poor Claire she saw the future happily married with a little girl how hard was that for her she was very brave to not tell anyone (don't think she saw the bullet coming) I think that was beautifully written.Megan was taken as a baby but she was ment for Daniel but never showed up until Claire was in heaven.so sad.
