    If only all tatting pattern books were written like this! Everything about this book is exceptional...the patterns are beautiful and the use of large clear colorful diagrams AND written notation is extremely helpful. Each lovely snowflake is featured in white thread and a delicate blue color and a chart describes the finished sizes in cm for both size 20 and size 80 thread. This book is top notch in every way and is well worth the cost. Note that this book does not include tatting directions. It does rate each snowflake with a level of difficulty and most are within the range a tatter with an entry level knowledge of making rings and chains could tat with confidence.

    This book has been laid out very methodically. There are lots of techniques to try. and the way the designs have been adapted, no center ring to tie off in almost all, no cutting and tieing to speak of, the way I have always wanted to re write my existing patterns. These are beautiful, I made all of them in basic white, no frills. I am round 2 with colors and beads. Wonderful.

    I'm a needle tatter (hope to be able master the shuttle someday), and these snowflakes are gorgeous! I've worked on a couple, but they're tricky for needle tatting since most of them have a lot of floating rings--which look great, but mean a big pile of tangled thread for me instead of keeping it on the ball. Probably a lot easier to do with shuttles. But this is a great book packed with beautiful patterns -- with both written instructions and diagrams. Happy tatting!
