    I really liked this book. I did read book 2 before this one and I’m kind of glad I did just because I didn’t like that book as much and if I read it first I probably would have disliked it even more. I read the second one a long time ago so I didn’t remember much. This book was so good though. calling Jett a bad boy was a little bit of a stretch. Like he was “bad” for like 2 seconds. Beyond that I did dislike how he told her not to come to a fight but did anyways. Like yes she helped and whatever but it was annoying. My favorite part of these books is the friendship between magic. I love their friendship so much. It is so wholesome and just inspiring. The graduation was also sooo good. Book 2 made me anxious to read the other book but book 1 makes me want to. I really enjoyed this one. There wasn’t anything I dislike too much. I did find the main character a little annoying. Like her ex was horrible but she still hanged with him and her mom was also crazy. But her mom got better and I the plot with her ex got a little better but still frustrating. Overall the book was good but wasn’t super good or amazing so I can’t give it a 4 or 5. I would say it was a slightly above average book. I would also say this book is a little on the wholesome and sweet side with the tiniest bit of spice. 3.5/5

If you enjoy young adult, small town romances then drop EVERYTHING and pick this book up! You won’t regret it! It’s one of those books that settles deep in your soul , drags all your feelings to the surface, and makes your heart go pitter patter. Laura Pavlov is a new to me author and the fact that she was able to sweep me off my feet with this incredible story makes me want to read EVERYTHING by her! I am so excited (which hasn’t been a feeling I’ve had when it comes to books in MONTHS). Ahh! I loved it!

    So, I went into this book blind and while I don’t think it’s necessary for others to do so, I am glad I did. I think it’s because it allowed me to experience the story without preconceived notions and I never knew where it was going to go. This is NOT an angsty read by any means, but it does have a lot of emotion behind the story. I think its part coming of age, part finding yourself, and part falling in TRUE love for the very first time. The heroine is the kindest character I think I’ve ever come across and the boy she falls in love with is an unexpected ANGEL. I just… GOSH I loved it more than I can express.

    I know my review is rambling a bit, but I don’t know how else to express my feelings without spoiling the story in any other way.

    If you enjoy books by Emma Scott , Ginger Scott, Kate McCarthy, Colleen Hoover (YUP, I said it and I mean it 😊 ), and Katie McGarry then I HIGHLY recommend reading his one!

    This is a wonderful small town, coming of age, sports romance. Jett and Adelaide are a charming couple that is easy to connect with. Adelaide’s MAGIC willow are the best friends you could imagine and it will be lovely to get to know more about them as the series progresses.
    Clem is such a little trail blazer that she lights up the pages she appears on. I really enjoyed the start to this series and learning about the residents of the town of Willow Springs. Hope she gets a book.

    This book was so satisfying - not so much for the plot which was quite straightforward, but for the characters, their attitudes and how the author gets everything about what a romance should be for young women so right!

    Why have I given this 5 stars? Because it's so refreshing to read about a young relationship with so much respect, to read about a heroine who makes her own choices and is pushed to challenge herself with the support of her romantic partner, and a male lead who is so much more and better than a stereotype. The moment I knew I would rate this 5 stars regardless of whether I enjoyed the overall plot, was when the ex-boyfriend, Alec, tried to have a confrontation with the main female character, Addy, at the school. Rather than the new boyfriend, Jett, jumping in to defend her and things leading to a violent altercation as many books often do, he gave her a head nod from across the parking lot which basically said "I trust you and respect you enough to manage this yourself, but I'll be here if you need me to help." There was respect, healthy boundaries and ultimately the book was about lifting female characters up and showing readers that women can be the heroes of their own stories.

    The other characters were amazing too - it was so refreshing to read about a group of 5 high school girls being so supporting of each other without snide comments, insecurities and jealousy. Even the girl who cheats with the ex is treated with a degree of respect by the main female lead and it is acknowledged that she isn't blaming her, but the guy. There was a lot of emphasis on the guy being wrong and having to be the one to own up to his mistakes, and to stop blaming the females around him.

    Clem, the sister was fantastic and I would 100% like to see a book about her. What an absolutely brilliant character!

    So pleasing to see an author present the female characters in her novel with so much strength and respect. I will certainly read more from this series.
