Incubus Freedom Paperback – August 13, 2019
Purchase options and add-ons
Ezra learned early in life that trust leads to pain and betrayal. He’s not about to fall for the sweet lies again. It’s time to finish what he started in the cellar. Without the bond link, Finn wouldn’t recognize the hostile, scared, defensive incubus as the captivating demon who stole his heart and soul.
When they met, Ezra used his demonic abilities to push his way into Finn's life, his heart, and soul. Now it’s Finn’s turn to use as many dirty tricks as necessary to win his demon back. Like Ezra, Finn has no intention of letting his prey escape.
Final part of Incubus, an m/m series. Graphic material and laugh-out-loud moments.

About the author

Emma is the #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of angsty, dark MM paranormal, scifi, and contemporary series including Incubus, DeMMonica Paint, Lies, and Malthusia.
Born in Hungry Bottom (yes, it's a real place) as an unexpected twin, she was destined to be a little different!
She loves putting damaged, often sweet and funny characters through hell before letting them have a well-earned HFN or HEA,
Writing sci-fi, paranormal, and contemporary romance with m/m, m/f, and multiple partner characters, she concentrates on men who love men these days. She blames her rebellious muse (who looks like Chris from the Paint Series) for the hot aspects tickling the angst, and the humor cuddling up with the hotness.

She always answers questions and comments from readers, so feel free to get in touch.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2018After sharing the memories of his nine-year imprisonment, Ezra emerges believing his ordeal only just happened. He completely forgets the intervening years between his escape from captivity and bonding with Finn. Armed with the hard heart those torturous years left him, and without the knowledge of his love for his vascellum, he attempts to kill himself, and therefore Finn. By doing so, he intends to spare the young human the pain of a life in which he must serve the incubus/succubus race by feeding them sufficient energy to propagate. Ezra views this as no different from the plans the vampires had for him.
Retreating to the Mediterranean resort island of his cousin, Avery, all those who care for him attempt to bring him back to the fun-loving, innuendo spouting, sexy beast they (and we) all love.
The beautiful island backdrop to this final installment proves a powerful contrast to the bleak cellar backdrop of the previous book. As with the rest of the series, the characters shine in every scene, whether desperate, funny or sexy. We come to learn more about Avery as well as Silas, Ezra’s keeper in prison.
Questions will abound for readers of this series: Are there more books on the horizon? Will Jericho ever discover another Atlas bear shifter or is he truly the last of his kind? Can anyone turn the head of the fae, Pixie? Will Avery ever recover from the loss of his own vascellum, Frederick? Will Milo forever stay with his unusual pack or he will search for his own love connection?
How about it Ms. Jaye?
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2018Ezra was able to show the council all the horrors he encountered while being held captive by Fabian, but now he thinks he was in that dungeon yesterday, not a hundred years ago. Which means he doesn't know or trust anyone, including Finn. Ezra was strong and did his part to put Fabian away, now its Finn's turn to bring Ezra back and show him the life they can have together now.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2019Book 1 was recommended to me and my friend deserves my thanks. Emma has created a world of hot sex, dark misery and unquestioning love! There are not enough expletives to describe this series and i still have Vi to go! This series is highly recommended and i cant wait to read more of Emmas work. You have created a super fan here!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2020This last in this series was hot & action packed...it was wonderful to discover how things worked out for characters...they all deserved a happy ending after all...good read...great series...if you love a sexy incubus & other hot super naturals this series will fill your desires!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2018This book was much more lighthearted than the previous ones, which is not a bad thing, but I felt less emotionally gripped and compelled by Incubus Freedom than by its prequels…Maybe because there was less tension and danger in this book.
Freya the succubus was…interesting. Her physical appearance of being extremely curvy, voluptuous, with big breasts, was kind of funny. I don’t think we got to see much of Ezra’s mother Clarissa—I wonder how she looks like. I wonder how David looked like too.
Another point that got me thinking, is Clarissa’s assertion that “an ugly incubus is a hungry incubus.” Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, though. Also, I would bet that even a “physically unattractive” incubus could make himself attractive to others, using charm, seduction, or other tricks (maybe even compulsions). So I don’t think they would actually starve, as long as they act with extra cleverness. Moreover, do unattractive incubi even exist? I got the impression that sex demons are built to attract their prey. So I figured that their physical attractiveness was like a wolf’s speed—these traits help them adapt to their environment and hunt for food.
Something I’ve been confused about for a while is, who are the people on the book covers? I assumed at first that they were all Ezra and Finn in different styles, since it’s described as an MM romance, not an MMMM romance. But now, I’m guessing that the shaggy-haired guy with a mustache is Milo, and the blond guy without a mustache is Avery? (If so, then I’m a bit surprised that I don’t see Silas on the covers.) There aren’t any rules that the two guys on the cover must be a couple, after all.
Overall, I enjoyed this series, and especially liked the complex feelings and relationships between the characters. It’s definitely not a simple romance! Seeing moral issues from an incubus’s point-of-view was also a fun and enlightening experience.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2022The first few books, felt a bit shallow. But then it picked up...big time!
"Manipulate, wait, and don't trust, had been his most effective strategy to avoid pain. He didn't see a reason to change it."
The aftermath after a walk down memory lane gone wrong... Yet again, poor boys!
"...the different supernatural species don't trust each other. The way you've drawn diverse demons, shifters and a fan together in a common cause is unprecedented."
This author knows how to squeeze on the right heartstring, push on the right button and make you feel it all and then some.
"Finn's voice threatened heartache for them both and promised a life Ezra didn't dare hope for; the life everyone had been telling him was possible. The life he had so far denied. Could it happen?"
