Our boss thinks a simple op in East Texas is exactly the thing we need to mend our relationship and restore the team dynamic.

I think two men are driving to the Pineywoods and only one is coming back.

Does it make sense to mess with the Guardians’ new hired gun every chance I get? No. Does it mean I’m going to stop? Also no.

Honestly, there’s nothing more fun than irritating a sexy grump who can’t stand how pretty I am.

That said...the more I get to know him, the more I realize how much he's hiding behind those walls of his. And this little road trip is the perfect opportunity to thoroughly explore the real Omar.

I just hope I haven’t pushed him too far this time.

Full Contact is a mercenary MM romance set in Austin and the Pineywoods of East Texas. It features smoking hot mortal enemies, a small vehicle fire, inappropriate bumper stickers, and a couple of alligators named Millie and Dave.

This is the second book in the Guardians Series. Several characters from Wrecked, my series about a gym for combat vets, crossover into these books. While you can enjoy the slightly more nefarious Guardians without reading Wrecked, you may end up wanting all the juicy backstories.

This is truly one of my favorite books ever!! I’ve long since loved Kelly Fox books, ever since I found my love for MM romance novels. No one writes about love and vulnerability like Kelly Fox! No one. Omar and Anders love story is so heartwarming, angsty, EVERYTHING I love in an enemies to lovers book! The moment where you realize you don’t hate them and the tension reaches an all time high! That moment where your enemy opens up to you and you see them completely differently than you have before. It all hits so hard here. The feels! My God does this book have the feels. Omar and Anders are so perfect for each other but so much stands in their way and they clash from the start. Anders is in every book Kelly Fox has written. He’s a appearing character but that doesn’t mean you have to read any prior book in order to understand this one. It can be read as a standalone. I’m telling you this book is truly outstanding and words can’t even describe how much true love flies off the page. This book is forever in my soul. I go back and read this all the time. I’ll never forget about Omar and Anders. They’re one of those couples I’ll remember forever. Their love story impacted me in the best possible way.     Omar and Anders were amazing. They started out truly at odds but still highly attracted to each other. It was beautiful how vulnerable they ended up being with each other by the end. I love that Omar was able to start living out loud, so to speak. He needed someone to know his whole story and accept that he didn't have a choice. His father was a horrible person and I am glad he was able to be free of him. I loved Anders parents so much. Millie and Dave were fantastic!

    Full Contact is the second in Kelly Fox’s Wrecked: Guardians series. I’m a big fan of her writing so it’s no surprise that this one has the perfect blend of snark, humor, pain, and heat.

    Omar and Anders work together with a…questionable “agency” to help rid the world of powerful people who hurt others. But murdering together doesn’t mean you have to get along and they don’t. Anders enjoys getting under people’s skin and Omar is controlled and contained enough to be a real challenge, so Anders keeps ramping up his efforts.

    Things finally combust – literally, Omar’s car ends up on fire – and the two are sent on a “simple” mission together to work out their problems. Turns out, their personal chemistry is combustible too.

    While the romance moves quickly, it works for me because they’ve worked together for months and know each other pretty well before this facet of their relationship develops. Omar’s reticence is rooted in a deep pain that is explored in a realistic way. Anders’s earlier actions are effectively reframed as unthinking rather than malicious, leaving space for their relationship to move forward.

    Like most of my favorite romances, this one includes a found-family element. Their friends and colleagues support them unflinchingly, both calling them out and giving them a safe space to land. There are also some interesting developments in the Guardians team (fodder for future books), the introduction of the Bash twin’s parents, and a young man in need of some help.

    I loved this book (reading and audio) and all the related series (Wrecked, Wrecked: Guardians, and Rebel Sky Ranch)!

    Wow. I have followed Kelly Fox since her first M/M novel, Sanctuary, came out. Full contact some of her best work to date. At first glance it seems like Omar and Anders are too different—that and Omar may kill Anders in a very painful manner if the man doesn’t stop pranking him. But when they’re forced to go on a mission together, things change and a different side of Anders emerges—a side that surprises Omar and allows him to let his guard down. The transformation in their relationship is lovely to see. The hurt/comfort scene is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and, I’ll admit, I reread it several times, it was that good. One of the things I like about all of Kelly’s books is how she handles the various traumas that her characters have to deal with. It’s clear that she’s done her homework on the matter. In this one she even mentions EMDR—a treatment modality specific for trauma. The therapist in me may have done a little happy dance. I highly recommend this enemies to lovers romance and I also recommend that you read her back list because they are all that good.

    I just love this author and her books!

    This book is no exception and I love Anders and Omar. We have seen things brewing between them in the previous book and it was just a matter of time before Omar either decked or got it on with Anders.

    Anders is this teasing, not able to hide his feelings, joking hottie who's also a kick ass surgeon and one of the men that takes out bad guys. And poor Omar is the one his got a crush on.
    Omar, who's suffered severely for his sexuality until he could escape his home country and the horrors his father forced upon him, hasn't been comfortable with being open about who he likes. But Anders pranks finally goes to far and it ignites the fuse to an explosion between them.

    Love, love love them together and I want the next book like right now.

    The Wrecked universe keeps getting better! I don't want to call this enemies to lovers since Anders and Omar were on the same team and worked together. I think it was more friends to lovers with the one friend who is definitely more annoying just for attention! Anders antics and pranks had me laughing during the story. I'm so glad we got to see a softer side of him with Omar. Omar was such a tough case. I wasn't sure his walls were ever going to come down. When they did, when Anders and Omar came together, it was beautiful.

    As I have come to expect from Kelly, this was top-notch. Great story, well paced adventure, and some firey heat too. Kelly has a knack for great dialogue and fun banter that I really enjoy. Her characters are facinating and nicely fleshed out, with depth revealed a bit at a time. I really liked that not everything is explained; just enough is shown to understand the character’s motivations, behaviours, and their intense connection, while giving the sense that there is still plenty of mystery.

    I’m loving the peeks at a deeper covert underground ops network, with a sniff of a little something else unknown that we’re getting. I’m so so so intrigued, and can’t wait to see how these storylines develop. I’ll be following along, with gleeful anticipation of the next installment in this series because I am completely hooked.

    My only complaint is that it was over too soon - it was so good I devoured it in two sittings. This one has the top spot on my ‘re-read on vacation’ list right now.

    I'm really enjoying this series I love the characters and can't wait to find out what happens next, though I'm curious as to what happened to Samuel and will he be in future books with the guardians. I love the action and the camraderie of the group and the humour makes the characters all com to life you can't help rooting for them. Rafi and Parker are still my favorite characters. Will we learn more about the crew out in Wimberley and will they also get their own stories as well?
